I've added a generic rationale. I think it doesn't need to be anything special, just needs to say that it's used to illustrate the article, and it's good to mention that the site is defunct. I don't know about a source. Maybe if you could remember the old URL you could add it. I'd don't mind meeting you half way because I'm not out to have images deleted, just "fixed". I am so sorry that I was not able to reach you on time. I have some busy work and school schedule until early june, that means I can not log in wiki frequently.

I checked both maps you shared with me and French one looked much better to me. Also, I checked some other regarding articles across the Europe and they generally have similar style of the French sample.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
