'''Kshar Sutra''' is ] word. It is taken from momentous treatise of Hindu medicine known as the 'Charak Samhita', Thi is the book of Ayurved, authored counteless years ago by Shri 'Susrut' based on whose name arose the word and the science of Surgery.
In the word Kshar Sutr, Kshar refers to anything that is Corrosive or caustic; while Sutr means a Yarn (or thread. The origin of the English word Sew). The thread is first coated with an organic 'Kshar' substance (obtained by burning natural plants and obtaining the extract). Here is the original method used in Bharatvarsh since times immerorial for the treatment of fistula in ano (]) patients. In contempoarary times, the method was it was revived by the Late Dr. P.J. Deshpande, in association with his team of doctors like DR. S. N.Pathak, Dr. S.R. Gupta etc. as ], ] (India).
The inspired and dedciated team of Dr Deshpande's doctors did extensive research work on Kshar-Sutra (medicated thread) on more that 10000+ patients' over a period styretching for more than a decade. The success was amazing! There was no recurrence rate of disease; also there was no need of hospitalization of patients. As with every other Vedic Hindu medecinal technique, the methiod (in stark contrast to western methodologies is very economical, and sure. Through western therapy(Modern Therapy) there is always a danger of recurrence of disease.
Due to effectiveness of this therapy, it has been recognized by W.H.O.(World Health Organization) and amazingly also by the Government of India, which is covertly inimical to ancient Hindu culture and hertitage. As a result, a 'Kshar - Sutr' clinics are being planned in all government hospitals across India.
