::Well I've answered your question over there about the software.
::On a separate note, I do have to respectfully disagree with you about Spartaz and others. I don't think it is fair to say those of us who support a less restrictive fair use regime are against the fundamental principles of a 💕. I support finding and obtaining free images wherever possible. I support using templates and other incentives to encourage the replacement of fair use, where possible. This is an effort I am trying to demonstrate in the work I am currently doing. However, I feel strongly that readers should not be punished just so we can adhere to ideological pedantry. Furthermore, I just totally disagree about specious arguments on decorative fair use, since it does little harm and will never be replaceable with free images. People learn in different way, some can understand with text while others do so with visual association. As someone who has both a learning disability and mental illness, I am very sensitive to this ideal. That is why I am fighting so hard. Not everyone will be well served when a fair use image is replaced with text. --] (]) 14:48, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
:::Thanks for the software tip, I'll give it a try! On the fair use thing, I understand your point of view. I'm not a zealot about it, I think fair use has its place here, but I think it tends to get abused without the tension of the free-content advocates pulling things back toward the center. I just wish people wouldn't personalize discussions and get nasty about it. You and I seem perfectly capable of working together even though we disagree on this - it reminds me that ] and ] are best friends even though they fundamentally disagree on a lot of stuff. :) ] ] 14:55, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

We'll continue the conversation here. Let me know when you have that video uploaded. Meanwhile, download and use 7z/winzip to extract it to an empty directory in your C:\ drive. For example, I extracted mine to C:\ffmpeg. --] (]) 17:09, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

:# Go back to the black ''cmd'' window and type ''ffmpeg.exe -i foo.wmv -f ogg -vcodec theora -acodec vorbis foo.ogg'' where foo is the file name of the media.
