The problem with this club (and the Maple League) articles is simply that they don't meet Misplaced Pages's criteria of notability. Basically, there are guidelines on what an article in Misplaced Pages can be about, how it should be written, and what information should be provided. You've sensibly followed the layout of another league when creating the article, and it ''looks'' good.....BUT looks aren't all that is required, and unfortunately, your club doesn't meet the notability criteria needed - you can read these here : ]. You should also probably read ]. Feel free to drop me a message on my talk page if you want help or advice. ] (]) 18:26, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi, i understand the league reasons as it maybe not cited correctly but i only made that page to make the club page more notable as it belongs to that league. but i think being the creator of the Untitled F.C club and team I am following the criteria of Misplaced Pages. If i understood and read the rules correctly. As the creator of the club i am the only reliable source and there is no source other than my self to create this page the only other information on the club is posted on facebook and the league website. The information on facebook is posted by me so i do not know what to do now. Please inform me if there is anything or please allow the page to be created.

==Untitled F.C==
Thank You,
Come on be fair guys. you are deleting a page that has no violated anything and compared to other pages is more reliable and make more sense than half of them. Take it into consideration there is nothing wrong with the page. Keep it! Please! all we are trying to do is create a page that informs the public of our team to get more support and fans. This will help us gain popularity and then it will follow your criteria. But how is that suppose to work if you don't post our page. Please think about it i worked hard on the page and don't believe it deserves to be deleted.

*Misplaced Pages does ''not'' have articles about anything and everything, and it is ''not'' here to help people or clubs ''become'' well known. You have to be well-known ''before'' you get an article. I'll say it all again once more: articles need to be about something of enough ''general'' interest for an encyclopedia. The Misplaced Pages term for that is ''notability'', and over the years we have worked out what that should mean. That is explained in ] and in more detailed guidelines like ]; one of the ways that notability is assessed is by the availability of ] from ] ]. I'm sorry, but your club doesn't meet the requirements. And the fact that there may be some non-notable articles is not a good reason for allowing more - see ].
*Sorry, there is nothing you can do. Misplaced Pages is a general ], not a place for articles about anything and everything, and it has clear standards for what gets in. Yes, your team is real, it exists, but it is not ''notable'' enough, i.e. of enough ''general interest'' to have an article in Misplaced Pages, and you will just have to get used to that idea. You put the article in, we had the discussion (click ]) and, as you can see, everyone was agreed. If you create it again, it will just be deleted again; and if you go on, eventually the title will be ''salted'' so that it cannot be created, and you will be blocked from editing. There are plenty of web-sites that would be happy to let you set up a home-page for your team - find one of them. ] (]) 19:04, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

:It's not up to me to decide whether your article is kept: now that I have nominated it for deletion what happens is that other users express their views over the next few days, and then an administrator decides what to do on the consensus of views. Note that this is '''not a count of votes''' but a decision on the basis of the arguments put forward. I've expressed mine and you've expressed yours: now we'll see what others say. ] (]) 21:05, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

As said in the debate there was no article or web info on the team on a Google search other than the wikipedia page... well if you look now you can see the league it self, the team website, and another website that show the team, the players, and news about the team, so therefore i think the team is notable and has notable sources. Image without license

Unspecified source for Image:Untitled FC.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Untitled FC.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Misplaced Pages:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:16, 24 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --MifterBot 18:16, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

  • Sorry, there is nothing you can do. Misplaced Pages is a general encyclopedia, not a place for articles about anything and everything, and it has clear standards for what gets in. Yes, your team is real, it exists, but it is not notable enough, i.e. of enough general interest to have an article in Misplaced Pages, and you will just have to get used to that idea. • Those are your own and your league's web-sites, not independent. Yes, they prove your team exists, but nobody doubts that. They are not "significant coverage in secondary sources which are reliable, and independent of the subject." And there is no point producing a fixture list from the local paper, that won't be enough either. You can see at WP:ATHLETE the sort of level Misplaced Pages is interested in - fully professional, or the highest level of amateur sport. I'm sorry, but you're flogging a dead horse. Give it up.
