{{nihongo|'''Amy'''|エイミ|Eimi}} is a ] designed for the ''Soul'' Series of ]. Amy made her first appearance in '']'', albeit only in the opening video sequence.<ref>Soulcalibur II videogame</ref>

She appeared as a playable bonus character for '']'' although in '']'' she is included as one of the main characters.

== Character overview ==
In Soul Calibur III, Amy wears outfits resembling the ] style. As a bonus character, Amy represents the custom discipline "Rapier" of the Character Creation mode. Her "Destined Battle" in Soul Calibur III is Raphael. She only says a few words in the entirety of the game. During Raphael's ending she says: "Amy". She also says "No!" and "Oww!" as a playable extra character in battle when she has been hit by an enemy.<ref>Soulcalibur III videogame</ref> In ] Amy has a full fleged speaking part.

In ], Amy has a specially-designed alternate costume which is not available in the Home Versions of the game.<ref></ref>

Amy returns in '']'' with an updated costume which bears a similar style to the previous one. She still wields Albion as her weapon;<ref></ref> however, when Amy became a real character, rather than a costume for the Rapier style, she gained her own, unique moveset which is based on her fighting style in ''Soulcalibur III: Arcade Edition''.

== Background story ==
In Soulcalibur II, Amy was a poor orphan who lived on the streets of Rouen. Her parents died of a plague that had spread across all of Europe during this time period. She had no other family to go to after the loss of her parents. One day she came across a man named ], who was being chased by the local authorities. She hid Raphael from the soldiers who were pursuing him; though only in spite of the soldiers, who ran her poverty stricken town. As Raphael had never owed his life to anyone before, he felt he must protect and repay her. He felt something he never had before for Amy, so he took her in to his home and looked after her as his own daughter, to repay her for the kindness she had shown to him.

One day, Raphael returned from a vicious battle with ], the wielder of ]. Raphael collapsed before Amy's eyes and she nursed him back to consciousness. When he came round he told her that though the battle had been won, he had become infected by the evil seed, and by handling his blood, she was also infected. Their skin turned pale and their eyes shone red. They felt weak and sluggish by day, and a powerful thirst by night. Amy had always found it hard to open her heart to the world, but now she couldn't even try because she was too different from everyone else. She was no longer human. She went with Raphael to the castle he bought in Romania. She sat in a dim room seeing the torches and troops gathering there. Raphael left, saying he will be out for a while. He took care of the troops and the noises ceased. They eventually returned, but he didn't. He had left her. And now the noises and light spread violently in the world he made, bringing it to ruins. She stood up and went to the exit. She was bound to the words from those days and then she smiled. For it was her who must protect this world that Raphael created.<ref></ref>

== Weapons ==
Amy wields a rapier named Albion.<ref></ref> Aside from its name, nothing else is known about it. ] is also the most ancient name for the ] (now more commonly associated with England), although Raphael and Amy are both French.

== Critical Finisher ==
Amy does a kick ballet dance and strikes the opponent with a barrage of stabs with rose petals coming from each stab. Then, in slow motion, Amy turns and delivers one final strike.

== Endings ==

* '''Soulcalibur IV'''

Amy's ending takes place in a cathedral, where Soul Calibur is stuck in the ground right in front of a gigantic crevasse. Raphael (backed by two maids) has obtained Soul Calibur and throws away his rapier. One of the maids (one with red hair) attempts to pick up the fallen rapier, but stops after a scowl from the other maid (one with green hair). Raphael is impressed by Soul Calibur and orders it to "create a new world, for Amy and me!" There is only silence. The maid with red hair remarks "Nothing is happening..." Raphael, visibly irritated, scowls at the maid with the green hair and asks if Soul Calibur is truly the sword they claim it to be. The maid with green hair bows and says it is. Raphael mutters "of course..." and suddenly swings Soul Calibur around and slices the maid with green hair, turning to point the enormous sword at the maid with red hair, who is beyond frightened. As she stutters to ask Raphael what is going on, he kills her, saying that the world is for him and Amy; the two maids are not included. "The mistake has been corrected!" he shouts triumphantly, and utters a demonic cackle, as he stands facing the crevasse.

Amy, who has been hiding behind a pillar out of sight of Raphael and his maids, comes out of hiding with a determined look on her face. She sprints at Raphael and pushes him into the crevasse. Raphael screams as he plummets downward. The camera then shows Amy's face. At last, she shows emotion: a genuine smile. Then, comically, the announcer shouts "RING OUT" in reference to the fact that Amy knocked Raphael out of the ring. The screen blackens, and words appear stating that Raphael and Amy lived together in their own world.

Amy's ending is remarkably similar to Raphael's ending. The notable differences are that in Raphael's ending, there is no maid with red hair; she is replaced by a male servent with a wolf's head. Also, Raphael's ending cuts after he cackles demonically. He does not get pushed by Amy, who doesn't even appear in his ending. <ref>Soulcalibur IV videogame</ref>
