Having searched out the informations online, I added them. The article also begged for updates to be put in line with current history of the show. I serched for them and added them. I kept my contributions as neutral and factual as possible. No where did I express my personal opinion.

Indeed, it is an editor's interest in a subject that results in their performing due diligence in their search for the cites that present a subject thoroughly.

Further, WP:COI applies to ''substantive'' changes to an article. I have personally reviewed each of the edits you reverted - they consist mostly of additions of references, addition of wiki-linked names backed by those sources, and minor cleanup of text; all of these are laudable activities. I haven't checked each supplied link, if you have a problem with one of them, please point it out. Your blanket reversion indicates that you are focussing on the editor, not the edits. Again, as pointed out by several senior editors, this user is operating as a fresh start. You need to confine your scrutiny to the actual edits they make, all of which look OK to me. MQS has not used appropriate reliable sources in some cases, but that is part of the normal learning experience for any wiki editor. Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are ] to "have strong passwords and ]." We have ] our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, ] remains an ''optional'' means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.

Looks like you found a lot of sources! You don't necessarily have to flesh out the article to warrant a keep; in AFDs, if you show other editors that there is independent coverage of the topic at hand, then it's acceptable enough. I'm not an expert on biographical articles, only having worked on a handful. The best two that comes to mind are ] and ] (though the latter may be on the fence). After a successful ], we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Misplaced Pages articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.

Hi, Michael. I read your comments at Homoaffectional's page. I agree that "some editors may simply look at an article as first offered to AfD and vote accordingly." However ] has a list of criteria for article deletion (with the caveat "not limited to").
LAAFan's reason "Unremarkable film" is, in my opinion, inadequate as a reason for submission to AFD. It does not indicate any effort made to find out if the film is indeed remarkable. From this brief summary, I guess that LAAFan refers to the criterion "Articles whose subject fails to meet the relevant notability guideline". In this case, the relevant guideline is ]. The deletion policy also notes "If the page can be improved, this should be solved through regular editing, rather than deletion. A variety of tags can be added to articles to note the problem." Did LAAFan attempt to improve the page through regular editing? No. Did LAAFan add an appropriate tag to indicate the problem with the article? Which, I know, can be a very frustrating limitation, but is a necessary one for maintaining work at an encyclopedic level. ArbCom would like to apologise and correct our previous mass message in light of the response from the community.

Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are required to "have strong passwords and follow appropriate personal security practices." We have updated our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, two-factor authentication remains an optional means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.

We are sorry for the wording of our previous message, which did not accurately convey this, and deeply regret the tone in which it was delivered.

AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October!

Greetings!

After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Misplaced Pages articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.

The AfroCine Project welcomes you to October, the first out of the two months which have been dedicated to creating and improving content that centre around the cinema of Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora. Join us in this global edit-a-thon, by helping to create or expand articles which are connected to this scope. Also remember to list your name under the participants section.

Hello friend, I only recently became aware of the deletion request for the article on Megalon which has concluded with the consensus of merging it with Godzilla vs. Megalon. I just thought I would give you a heads up, I was working on expanding it in a separate userspace before transferring it over to the main article, but have sort of put that project in hiatus while I am working on the multitude of other articles. 1894 film "The Dancing Clown:" possible hoax article has survived for 3 months

This article's only two sources are unverifiable print sources that may or may not contain the information they are said to contain. Creator and primary editor of this article attempted to create numerous hoax articles in the past and add false information to articles. I could find absolutely nothing about this movie when I did an Internet search. Based on all this, I am led to believe that this article is a hoax and that this film is nonexistent.
