Hi. I noticed you uploaded a couple of game action pictures from the ]. I know it's been a long time, but do you remember at what point in the game those pictures were taken? I'd just like to give a long-overdue thanks to you for editing the Cedarview Middle School page and saving it from almost-certain doom. I was the one who had the original edit with parts like "a bright blue roof" and the unsourced entries. That said, I was also the one who CREATED the world record attempt, so I suppose I could have claimed to be an expert. However, I was 13 at the time and with no sense of Wiki-community I just threw paint at the page. This in turn led to its attempted deletion, which I am glad to see that you corrected.
I tried adding a link to the site ourkids.net and you removed it. Ourkids.net offers pictures and other information unavailable elsewhere. Why is there no conflict of interest deletion for the link from the competing commercial site, topprivateschools.ca?

It is obvious that users find our site useful as they arrive from all different sources, including wikipedia, and we offer them the opportunity to make contact with a representative from the school.

I've just started a stub on this Korean religion, and found that as ] it had been deleted because you prodded it in 2008. As you display the WikiProject Countering systemic bias tasks on your user page, I'm surprised that you didn't make more of an effort to find sources before proposing to delete it. I would be more than happy to provide adequate reliable sources for a fair and balanced article but Bearcat has blocked my access to the original article on Heather Carter. I must admit that I am quite a novice here and I am uncomfortable with Bearcat's bullying. Heather Carter's article has been on Misplaced Pages since February, 2007, and, I thought, had been approved for content by IrishGuy. Without warning, Bearcat redirected the article with a comment to the effect that unelected candidates were unworthy of an article. I undid his redirection. He threatened me. Later Mr. No Funny Nickname also undid the redirection. And, again, I was threatened. I do not know Mr. No Funny Nickname nor have I collaborated with him prior to this incident. I also object the Bearcat's involvement in editing Liberal party candidate's articles. He is a strong supporter of the NDP and as such I feel he should have the sense to recuse himself. I know we've had some conflicts about the use of ] on CFL player articles, and I was wondering if there was anything that could be done to the template that would satisfy you to the point where we might be able to use it for both NFL and CFL players. I believe in the past you've said it was very "NFL-centric" or something to that effect, and you're right. However, I don't think there are any such features that cannot be altered. For one, I think we can change the NFL debut section to say "Professional debut" so that it could be used for any league, no matter where a guy started. * IMP is import, NIP is non-import
* I guess when it says ADD under Roster, it means a guy signed to the active roster
* ADD under the Non-Active section means signed to the practice squad

* EXT on INJURED means an extension on their inactive list time
* TFR to INJURED means transferred to injured from active (or maybe practice squad?)

Hiya. My understanding of the restrictions is that they pertain to anything which touches the subject of Commonwealth monarchies. So while ] may not in and of itself be subject to 1RR under his restrictions, it becomes so as soon as he starts touching on monarchy within Canada. I think this was clarified in his most recent block, but I'm willing to be corrected if I'm wrong about the interpretation.

Bottom line, though: G2 is ''well'' aware that reversions are not acceptable methods of discourse, and he is equally well aware of what constitutes a reversion. This is why I asked for the restrictions that I did at his RfC/U: 1RR on all the articles he edits, to force him to discuss rather than edit war, and discussion restrictions to force him to engage in discussion with an open and collaborative mind focused only on the content of said discussion.

The multiple reversions at ], whether or not they are subject to his 1RR restriction (some of them seem to be, some not), are borderline edit-warring. He knows what an edit-war is, and he knows that 3RR (or indeed 1RR) is not an entitlement. And, really.. I count 5 reverts to a single article.

The civility/discussion restrictions are less open to interpretation, I think. He was incivil, and he went outside of solely discussing content. He is required to be strictly civil and to keep discussion on content only.

Personally, I think he violated the spirit of the restrictions if not the exact black-letter. And since that sort of gaming is at the root of many of the disputes with him, I feel it should be treated relatively severely. Gaming isn't okay.

I dunno. If you feel any of this needs to be quoted over there, feel free, but I won't be engaging on AN myself unless it becomes absolutely necessary.

My question is, if I were to post the DataWeb Corporation article now, would it be removed in a few hours? Or would it just be tagged as lacking references?

What is the "statute of limitations for articles tagged as having no references? How many days, weeks, months will a tagged article stay up before it is removed? (The MetriQ article was tagged in May, 2008 but is still up.)

I ask these questions because I might be able to provide further references for the DataWeb article in the coming months. So it might work to try to post the DataWeb article on Misplaced Pages now (if it will stay up), and add those references to the article later.

Here are a few I can think of:
*"That the first seigneur of Beloeil participated in the 1704 raid on Deerfield."(may be a little obscure due to the whole "seigneur" part. "Lord" may be usable in a DYK. I suppose "Deerfield massacre" may be usable instead of 1704 raid.)
*"That the city of Beloeil was the site of the worst train disaster in the history of Canada." (Iffy because that's one of the very few things that the article already mentioned before I came in and rewrote it. On the plus side, this one actually has a picture to go with it.)
*"That although settlement of the city of Beloeil began in 1725, its first place of worship was built only in 1772?" (probably the least controversial one, most sensible one. "place of worship" is a little cumbersome, but the first church came even later, and the chapel was the big event)
Alternatively, there is always the "Nice view" one - as I said, the town isn't taking sides, but the local history society (ie, the only people to study this) have pretty much shot the belgian theory through and through among the many articles on their web sites.

Hey, I noticed you were adding CapCoord's to Infobox Province or territory of Canada. These coordinates are a bad idea from a semantic point of view unless you add a name= parameter to them. Otherwise proper data extraction is made impossible as there is no straight forward way to tell what the coordinates refer to. Hello, thank you for your comment. However i do not agree with much of what you said. First English is not my native language so sorry for any stylistic inaccuracies but i doubt that there is any english native speaker who could write this kind of article. Anyway i dont understand why repeating that czech republic has a liberal gun law is a problem since it is obvious if you compare it to other gun laws described here in wikipedia. The article is well sourced. The main source referes to the actual gun law. I understand you do not know czech but that doesnt mean the sources are not relevant. The fact that guns are not excessively popular is true. I admit that the word excessively could be replaced with something more appropriate so feel free to do it :-) but the statement is well supported by the statistics of the department of state containing the number of licenses and crimes commited with legal guns. The part "General attitudes to guns and efforts to tighten the law" describes the general background of the gun law reform in the 90s. I wish other czech people could express their opinion and im sure they would agree that this is a commonly accepted point of view and not any subjective interpretation. 2009 International Bowl pictures

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

Hi, Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Misplaced Pages:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile!
