I am a resident of Purley on Thames and wanted to see if we had a page on Misplaced Pages. I searched for it and found that the writer had put hyphens in the name. I created an account and changed this error. You then changed it back. Why? I have lived here most of my life and know that there are no hyphens in the name.

:Hello Sooyoo4. I have no axe to grind over the hyphenation however the article has been called ] since it was created in 2004 and the text within should not contradict the title. If you think that there is a case for re-naming the article then you should propose it on the talk page so that a discussion can take place and a consensus reached as to whether the move is appropriate. If you do start a discussion I would sugegst that you start with a better argument than "I live here, I know" (I'm paraphrasing obviously) as in the context of Misplaced Pages where ] is paramount that will not hold any water so you will need to reference ] to show that the unhyphenated version is correct. You should also check whether the ] has anything to say on the matter - I've done a quick flick through other compound -on-Thames place names and they all appear hyphenated e.g. ], ], ], ] so it's looking like hyphens are the accepted naming convention. I was looking for information on people who, after the second world ar / Holocaust came back to their original hometown. Specifically, is there any information on the few hundred people who came back to Vienna, Austria, after half a million of Vienna's Jews were sent to the concentration camps. I have some knowledge and would be willing to research about the lives of the survivors. The Lockerby Composite School Misplaced Pages page was recently edited to include controversial information about a murderer, a pipe bomb threat 25 years ago, and inappropriate teacher controversies. I am not affiliated with this high school, but noticed that other high schools in this school board (Rainbow District School Board) do not have such commentaries and the original write-up of this high school compared to other Rainbow District School Board currently on Misplaced Pages.

I went back to revert these controversial edits (by creating a Misplaced Pages account), but the person who added the controversial information, re-instated their edits. There was a note to say to contact/reach out to an Administrator on a list to review changes made. As such, I selected you to please review the controversial edits made.

:The way to find out is too look in the ] of your user page - you can access this by clicking on the history tab at the top of the page you are interested in. If you do this you will see who removed it (Starczamora) , the date and time they did it (09:14 29 December 2009) and also the reason they did it (''rmv jenniylyn photo; it is not the image of the user'') - this last bit is why it is really important to ''always'' leave an ] when you make changes. Ultimately, I do not believe that the editor (Kline) used appropriate judgement to edit the high school Misplaced Pages page by writing several controversial information pieces. The editor (Kline) appears to be 'slandering' this particular high school.

I would also say that the Misplaced Pages pages for giving copyright could be simplified so that I could have given copyright to Misplaced Pages in a more straightforward way. Such as a one click button to transfer rights. This would have been much easier to follow.   • Following a motion, the Extended Confirmed Restriction has been amended, removing the allowance for non-extended-confirmed editors to post constructive comments on the "Talk:" namespace. Now, non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace solely to make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided that their actions are not disruptive.
  • The Arbitration Committee has announced a call for Checkusers and Oversighters, stating that it will currently be accepting applications for CheckUser and/or Oversight permissions at any point in the year.
  • Eligible users are invited to vote on candidates for the Arbitration Committee until 23:59 December 11, 2023 (UTC). Candidate statements can be seen here.
