Lott was born in ] and grew up in a middle-class ] family. Her career in ] started when she was 18, when she asked a friend to take some pictures of her in ]. Lott sent the pictures in to '']'' and soon afterwards was selected to pose and be the ] for the December 1981 issue. After 1991, Lott took a break from films to go back to college to complete her degree in Health Sciences.<ref name=Bio/>
