Following a performance at the ] contest (they came second) , they began recording their first ], ''Colony 5'', and their first full CD, ''Lifeline''. they released their second single, "Follow Your Heart", then in 2003, the single "Black," and the album ''Structures'', which was featured on ]. Their output slowed in 2004 and 2005, as they toured eastern Europe. They released a collection of singles called ''Colonisation'' and a new album in 2005, ''Fixed''.


On 14 December 2007 Colony 5 released the first single from their then-upcoming full-length album, ''Buried Again''.<ref>, Side-line.com</ref> The "Knives" MCD showed off a harder sound as a first taste of what the album would sound like. ''Buried Again'' was released in February 2008 on Memento Materia for Scandinavia, Infacted for Germany and ArtOfFact in the USA.
The band came in second at the "Quest for Fame" competition and was nominated as "Best Newcomer" at the ] .
And again for Best Band and Best Song (Plastic World) at ] which they won.


December 14th 2007 sees the release of the newest Colony 5 material<ref></ref>. The "Knives" MCD shows a harder sound and is a first taste of what is to come at the upcoming full length album "Buried Again", scheduled for a February 2008 release on Memento Materia for Scandinavia, Infacted for Germany and ArtOfFact in the USA.
