Lichens is the son of a notable ] guitarist, which exposed him to the music scene from an early age. He started playing the piano when he was very young. When he was 9 years old, his parents bought him an ] and he committed himself to learn. His father taught him how to work the instrument and he developed his sense for music from there on. | |||
As he continued to perfect his musicianship and songwriting, Lichens moved to ] to pursue his own career. In 1995 he joined legendary ] ] which exposed him to lots of worldwide touring experience. Unfortunately, in 1997 he was fired due to musical differences with the other members. | |||
