Now it's not a contest in itself, it's designed to motivate people to inspire others to improve content and build something which demonstrates the hard work going into the country which is visible. The focus is more on quality improvements but new articles are welcome too. ==Asian 10,000 Challenge invite==
Hi. The ] has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland ] and ]. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like ]. For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current ] which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Hi, I've been doing some improvements to Wikiproject Kurdistan. If you are still active, please get in touch.] (]) 23:21, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
Please explain how an Iraqi football club article is specifically Kurdish. Stub templates do not get applied for peripheral associations, if they were stub articles would routinely have ten or more templates which is ludicrous. Stub types are not categories. So unless they only let Kurds play, Arbil FC does not warrant that stub. Simply being in Arbil is insufficient. CaerwineCaer’s whines21:58, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Just to be clear though, given its locale, it is probably appropriate for Arbil FC to have the Kurdish Wikiproject template (depending on how broad a scope the WP wants to cover) on its talk page, but that is a separate issue. As far as stub templates go, anything that is sufficiently differentiated by locale does not get a further differentiation by ethnicity unless it relates to something about that culture. Since soccer is not Kurdish specific, then unless they have a Kurds only policy or the like, as far as stubbing is concerned it is an Iraqi football club, and any further stub types would be excessive. Kurdish Barnstar
You awarded me and Heja helweda the Kurdish barnstar, but there was no template for it and the image you uploaded was deleted. I took the liberty to create the template for it and created a vector based image for the template. I replaced both awards with this new template, so from now on use this template. I will also add this to the WikiProject Kurdistan template section. --D.Kurdistani07:25, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Assessment requests: Some open Requests for assessment need to be answered. To see new assessment requests as they come in, you can watchlist the assessment page.
More task forces and subprojects: As this WikiProject covers a very large topic area, it is helpful to add more task forces that focus on specific aspects of Germany. Currently, we have a Mainz task force, a Munich subproject and some joint task forces with other WikiProjects. Any project member is invited to start a new task force. Suggestions for possible topics:
Transportation in Germany
German politics (the political system of Germany and the biographies of its politicians)
Categorization: Uncategorized Germany stubs need to be categorized
Project news
Cities and municipalities task force
The task force dedicated to creating and improving articles on all German cities and municipalities is happy to announce that there are now (at least) stub articles for all municipalities of Germany. Now the task force is looking for help in fleshing these out a little bit. The current phase of activity for the task force is to copy in infoboxes from the articles in German Misplaced Pages. If you want to help, even just for a few articles, look at the instructions and links here
Invitation to Misplaced Pages research by City University HK
Dear Bohator,
I am Andreas Schroeder, a Research Fellow at City University in Hong Kong. Here at the University’s Center for Applied Knowledge and Innovation Management, we are currently conducting a research project on collaboration activities in Misplaced Pages. We are inviting experienced Wikipedians worldwide to share their experiences and views on different aspect of the community processes with us. Our aim is to find out how people integrate their contribution efforts to ultimately better understand the mechanisms behind the amazing success of Misplaced Pages.
Because you are an experienced Wikipedian and a well integrated member of the Misplaced Pages community, we would like to talk to you about your experiences. We would like to do a short interview during the next two weeks either via Skype, MSN Messenger or telephone at a time that is most convenient for you. The interview should not take longer than 30 minutes and could be conducted in German or English.
We would very much appreciate your participation in this research project. Any information about participants will, of course, be kept strictly confidential. For further questions about the project and to arrange a date for an interview, please contact Andreas Schroeder at WikiResearchCityU{at}gmail.com or send me an email.
