Hello! The ] team is running a usability test to find out how and where IP addresses are used when patrolling wikis, particularly when patrolling RecentChanges. This could include New Pages or RecentChanges patrol. We want to see your patrolling process and get your views on some prototypes. Getting your perspective would be really helpful to us at this stage of the process. If you’d like to help, and have 30 minutes to spare, please fill out this Google form with your details: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfjYyRNGMkO4_TdNOgG4qmK9cp9YOKzM4GFO5pTd_bEcu23YQ/viewform

== Reverting my edit on Watchmen characters ==

Thank you,
I understand that it was redirected a long time ago. I did not see a discussion regarding the merge. I did however see the AfD which was in favor of keeping. Therefore I am reverting it. I understand your merge was ] however I disagree with it so I am asking that you discuss it before reverting my edit. I gave my reason for keeping the article on the talk page of Characters in Watchmen. Thanks :) ] ] 16:43, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

] (]) and ] (]) 09:45, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
Sorry I was a little hestiant in reverting Ozymandias as he was not as main a character as the others however he has established notability by being featured in the forbes fictional 15. Also I never saw any consensus for the merge I tried searching on the talk page and AfD. ] ] 16:51, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

== ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message ==
I'm a little confused I looked at the AfD and it looked like consensus was in favor of keeping those articles. Where was it discussed otherwise? It seems someone redirected and no one contested it (actually it looks like it was contested just not by established users). However, I am now contesting it, mainly because the characters are also featured in a film and a video game not just one comic book. I'm sure you would agree with me now right? :) ] ] 16:55, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Ok, well let me explain. Essentially, you're factually correct, what you're adding is true information. However, the sections you're adding it to are very short compact ones to summarily describe the character's history in the order it was revealed (]) and in minimal, essential detail. There is one line later on that discusses Jack's immortality works "either by resurrection or invulnerability" (with a citation to "Utopia" after the word invulnerability). That paragraph, mind, probably does need work but it's the only place in the article that the information should be discussed ''at length'' (although, very little length, at that). It's not essential for a reader who wants to know the character's history to know beyond the word "immortality".~<b><font color="purple">]</font></b>] 22:20, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Copyvios aren't in his MO, but believe me, the thought had occurred to me. I think that we've pretty much seen the last of Bambifan101 since we blocked his school IP and even Simple English, in need as they are of editors, initiated the same block range which we did. Definitely worth keeping an eye on this one, though. --] (]) 02:58, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

You got that right. He remains the single strangest individual I've ever dealt with on this site. The little putz wore out his welcome by basically turning this site's generosity onto itself; his ranges were too big to block and he knew it. He finally pushed too far and three BellSouth ranges and a school are locked out. All of his pet articles are still locked out as well, which is a damn shame. If he were my kid, I wouldn't allow him near a computer until he turned 30. --] (]) 03:11, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank You for the correction, its very kind of You! I thought that the word was accidentally misspelled.

Is there no other simple and quick way of communication here on Wiki? or is this way the only way, except sending mail? I was just thinking that it is not last time i will misspell english words and the list of thank You can be realtive big here :)

Once again, thank You! Then...if You have lot of time and dont know what to do with it and You are good at making the layout/ spelling of the articles (as im not) I can most probably give You a full time job here! :)

Greetings, HalfShadow! It's been a long while since we last spoke, and I hope you've been keeping well. I recall that you once contributed for a while in . If you can find time to come back and help us progress over there, again, that would be much appreciated! I've already brought the wiki up to better standards than it was at before, and I've gotten some policies written, based on some of the policies of I've seen here in Misplaced Pages, which you can have a look at when you get there. Hi, I noticed the large scale delete you made on the above page. Such action has been proposed in the past and discouraged, it's a sensitive topic and aslong as protests and replies are civil the general agreement is to keep the protests, they just end up getting archived (have a look through, there's ''a lot''). I propose reinstating the content. <b>]</span>]</b> 17:11, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
:Never. Also, as far as I know, I'm the one that has proposed removal more often than any one else. However, the community would prefer they remain and so that's why I mentioned it. I don't agree with it but know that others do so that's why I've gone ahead and reinstated the content. <b>]</span>]</b> 17:22, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

There is no rule that you can't post something you haven't written yourself. It is for example perfectly legal to post material written by the US government, which is under public domain. In fact a lot of content on wikipedia is from public domain sources. It is also legal to post content licensed under a licence which is compatible with Misplaced Pages's when it's attributed. ] (]) <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding ] comment added 23:19, 30 January 2010 (UTC).</span><!--Template:Undated--> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

:(I watch this page) Song lyrics are protected by copyright so may not be added in full to an article. Use of a lyric or two to illustrate something *may* be appropriate. Please help with usability testing

Hello! The mw:Anti-Harassment Tools team is running a usability test to find out how and where IP addresses are used when patrolling wikis, particularly when patrolling RecentChanges.

For the purpose of the tests we’ll be using Google Forms for recruitment, and UserTesting.com to conduct the actual tests. Please review the privacy statement and release form in https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ijmwrIoNO0W1p_zfFU1LBf3_6mFF53kUUFy1L_DCUKc (Google docs link)

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:19, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
