Hello. I've started this article, but do not know much about the game yet since it is still being delayed at the moment (five days late so far). Please feel free to add any info that you know or add screenshots. Thank you. MrTrubak 04:16, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Some additions

I cleaned this article up a bit a while ago and elaborated on game information, but it could still use some screenshots. I don't think there are many (if any) people watching this article, this is just for reference. Felijan 03:16, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Servers Down

I think Windysoft shut down the Infinity Online servers a long time ago. There's no server found on their site. Also, Playinfinity.org has been overrun by spambots. Scout01 00:49, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

~ Aw - the gameplay looked fun :/

Not Advertising

See WP:ADVERT. "Articles considered advertisements include those that are solicitations for a business, product or service, or are public relations pieces designed to promote a company or individual." Even if it reads like an instruction manual, that's not advertising. Delete it, sure, but not by the speedy deletion criterion for advertising. Review the guideline. --Bsherr (talk) 05:32, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Every word after the article's lede is an incoherent strategy guide; it seems you agree with me. What, precisely, about this article indicates it ought to stay? The article contains almost nothing but red meat for paying Infinity Online users. That is prima facie ad copy, since it's an attempt by whoever inserted it to get users to spend more money. Jesus. For that matter, it doesn't even read like an instruction manual; it reads like the back of a video game box. How is this article helpful for someone reading up on MMOGs? Let an admin decide I'm wrong, please. Şłџğģő 06:00, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
"It was supposed to be released on October 12, 2006, but due to an IDC problem, was released internationally on October 17. ... For contractual and other reasons, Gametribe has implemented an IP block on users in the United States." It seems to reference both good and bad. Speedy deletion is for blatant advertising only. Yes, it contains fancruft, and yes, that's not encyclopedic. But it does not solicit, nor does it read like a press release. And this isn't the first article you've tagged today as advertising that's been declined. I think it would serve you well to read WP:ADVERT carefully so you can better identify when speedy deletion is appropriate. --Bsherr (talk) 06:06, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
"But it does not solicit" I hate, hate, hate to ask, but did you RTFA?. The article doesn't read like a front-to-back effort, including your "BANNED IN THE USA" quote, to get users to spend more money?
I don't see any talk page archives. --Bsherr (talk) 14:50, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
Do me a favor. Please stop removing the tag, since if it's inappropriately placed, it'll get removed anyway. Let an admin decide. As far as "the first article 've tagged today as advertising that's been declined," eat me. It's a question of simple literacy; if an article is 99% ad copy with the other 1% worthwhile, some militant inclusionist will come along and wipe my tag, ignoring the fact that the tag says "fundamentally rewritten," not "completely rewritten." Şłџğģő 06:16, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
Read the criterion for speedy deletion. The article has to be "exclusively" promotional. That's 100%. Please, just read the policy. --Bsherr (talk) 15:07, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
