Hi, Future Perfect at Sunrise. Since you blocked twice my access to English wiki, I have no choice but contact you anonymously. Firstly, I want to express my deepest regret and disaffection for the two blockages. How could people jump to a judgement only by listening to one side's words? Don't you know the villain always sues his victim before he himself is prosecuted. It's User:Bertport who made the very first revert at 00:19, 19 February 2010 while I, mainly with ], had been contributing days to the article ]. I never see he does any constructive edit but only undoes others' contributions or stealthily stuffs his biased words.
== Invitation to participate in a research ==
I waited one week to finally edit the article, if you please have a look at what content is restored , you'll tell at once good from bad. Both sides' opinions are presented and historical events are scholarly argued, thus I wonder where come from the courage of Bertport to revert such an edit and his boldness to accuse others anticipately. Regards. -- LaGrandefr

Kind Regards, | |||
Could you "semi-protect" the Istanbul article for the time being from anonymous users. It is constantly attacked and vandalized. I have checked the history of editions and I have never seen such constant referenceless changes and attacks on a city article in Misplaced Pages, I have never seen such constant onslaught on a city article, not even hotly contested Jerusalem comes close! Any contribution one makes is either changed with no explanation or erased altogether.
] | |||
Even the climate section I (currently) last edited, has been previously constantly changed with no reason and attacked. Even this section seems to be a "hot political issue"!

{{diff|1=User talk:TFOWR|2=386996719|3=386990064|4=Giftiger wunsch raised this issue on my talkpage}}, having already CSD-T2-tagged the template created by the Chen user, and having reverted all edits where an ''IP'' had added the template to blocked users' pages. I deleted the template, and initially thought that that was the end of the matter. However, when GW mentioned that they had reverted instances of the template being used, I dug deeper and saw that an IP had addd the template immediately after Chen has created it. The reason I gave for the block was vandalism. I was uncomfortable with that then, and I remain uncomfortable with it now. It was a hasty decision, resulting from "being caught on the hop", and from seeing my assumption of good faith proven to be a mistake.

Hi, I’ve noted that you’ve done some source checking in the past : . It would be nice if you check the source on factual accuracy representation at WP (source permission usage was granted upon education proposes usage at WP)
* source suggest ] title (used at ] rank – see at source ''Roman Shukhevych’s title was that of Hauptsturmführer (captain) of the first company and deputy commander of the legion'' ) ) but not ] rank ] as suggested by WP-editor
* source does not suggest to call fact as'' claim'' (see ''Bloody pogroms and mass murders were carried out in these cities, and soldiers of Nachtigall participated in the slaughter of Jews'') as suggested here and here

Ukrainian-Jewish Relations During the Nazi Occupation. at Yivo annual of Jewish social science Yiddish Scientific Institute, 1959'' (also available at Roads to extinction : essays on the Holocaust. New York: 1980 ) upon a text – “OUN-B condemned anti-Jewish pogroms and specifically warned against the pogromist mindset” – which contradict the text at p.265 of the source itself and mainstream scholars acknowledgment – see (…''in April 1941, on the UNO Congress in Krakow, struggling Jews was practically legalized'') , – (''It is an undeniable fact, though, that OUN organized pogroms and mass violence against Jews and others throughout western Ukraine in July 1941''.) and numerous other scholar sources including Institute of History - National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

::No contradiction in the article concerning pogroms and the OUN. The OUN-B condemned pogroms in April but then organized them a few months later after the Germans, with whom they wanted an alliance, asked for them. This is clearly written in the article . An excerpt:
:::"The OUN-B's ambivalent wartime attitude towards the Jews was highlighted during the Second General Congress of OUN-B (April, 1941, Kraków)in which the OUN-B condemned anti-Jewish pogroms. and specifically warned against the pogromist mindset as useful only to Muscovite propaganda. At that conference the OUN-B declared "The Jews in the USSR constitute the most faithful support of the ruling Bolshevik regime, and the vanguard of Muscovite imperialism in Ukraine. The Muscovite-Bolshevik government exploits the anti-Jewish sentiments of the Ukrainian masses to divert their attention from the true cause of their misfortune and to channel them in a time of frustration into pogroms on Jews. The OUN combats the Jews as the prop of the Muscovite-Bolshevik regime and simultaneously it renders the masses conscious of the fact that the principal foe is Moscow."
:::On the other hand, the OUN was willing to support Nazi antisemitic policies if doing so would help their cause. The OUN sought German recognition for an independant Ukrainian state. Despite it's declared condemnation of pogroms in April 1941, when German official Reinhard Heydrich requested "self-cleansing actions" in June of that year the OUN organized militias who killed several thousand Jews in western Ukraine soon afterward that year."

Invitation to participate in a research
Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Misplaced Pages, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,

Reverts
If I come across one of their additions to RSN would it be helpful if I pinged you? -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 20:50, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I guess it's enough to get them reverted promptly – if they then start revert-warring it back in, there should be enough admin eyeballs on that page to push the block button eventually, right? It doesn't have to be always me. That person is a pest (I suppose you're familiar with their LTA entry?), thanks for helping deal with them. Fut.Perf. ☼ 23:00, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- I looked it up after their recent posts, I'll keep an eye out for them. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 23:27, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
Reminder to participate in Misplaced Pages research
Hello,
I recently invited you to take a survey about administration on Misplaced Pages. If you haven’t yet had a chance, there is still time to participate– we’d truly appreciate your feedback. The survey is anonymous and should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement.
Take the survey here.
Kind Regards,

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:13, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
