Of course, you're welcome. Although you know there's no need to thank me—there were several other people wanting to nominate you, and you easily would have succeeded even with a self-nomination. Thank ''you'' for allowing me to nominate you. And I did have an ulterior motive in wanting to get you to be an administrator. Certainly I thought you deserved it and would be able to accomplish tasks easier with administrative powers. And hopefully it will be an inducement to continue your great work here. But more than that, Misplaced Pages ''needs'' administrators like you. I am concerned about the general level of civility and of open-mindedness here, not just from administrators but from all users. The best leaders lead by example, and it is important to show how we feel discussion and interactions should take place, as well as to show that we can accomplish more through rational explanation and calm discussion than through name-calling and wheel warring. I wasn't exaggerating when I said you're the kind of administrator I'd hope to be. On responses
I respond on my page, unless there is good reason to respond on yours. Regards—Encephalon
Welcome back!
Whoa! Glad to see you around! Did I ever just get hit by a wave of nostalgia... Things have changed, haven't they? Anyhow, it's good to see you on the beat again. Kyle Barbour (once Blackcap) 07:13, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- O.K., O.K., so I didn't need to remind you who I am :) You're right, it's not the same anymore - makes me sad to see the community like this, if you can still call it that. *sigh* Kyle Barbour 21:01, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- You're not around here enough; we need you to help keep this place sane. Precious friends hid in death's dateless night, (or at least off-wiki). Hope you are well. Kyle's much missed as well. *sigh* Eusebeus (talk) 00:10, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- zOMG you came around... how are things with you? :D Titoxd 08:20, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

question
Hi,
Would you be interested in volunteering some time and expertise to help the Wikimedia Foundation in a collaboration with the National Institutes of Health? I unfortunately do not have a lot of details to give at this time, but in short, I'm looking for a group of Wikimedians (primarily US or UK based, but that's not a requirement) that have interest or expertise in various medical fields, to help participate in a Wikimedia Academy event with the NIH. Even if you don't think you'd be able to attend the event, but would be interested in helping out online in any capacity, I'd love to hear back from you. Please leave a message on my talk page at User talk:Swatjester if you are interested. Thank you. ⇒SWATJester 14:56, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Hey
Hey, just wondering if you were around at all. I haven't talked to you in forever. Looks like your e-mail address doesn't work anymore. If you get this and you have a chance, I would love to hear from you. E-mail me or leave me a message on my talk page, all right? — Knowledge Seeker দ 20:05, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Hi!
Haven't seen you around for ages! You seem to disappear for months at a time, so next time you're around drop me a line please! -- Avi (talk) 09:13, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
A new medical resource
Please note that there is a new freely accessible medical resource, MedMerits (to which I'm a medical advisor) on neurologic disorders. A discussion on ELs to MedMerits and medical ELs in general is currently in progress ("Misplaced Pages and its relationship to the outside world"). I posted this message to your page becasue you indicated an interest in neurology. Presto54 (talk) 16:30, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Happy Adminship Anniversary
Wishing Encephalon a very happy birthday on behalf of the Birthday Committee! Armbrust, B.Ed. about my edits? 15:09, 27 March 2012 (UTC)Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity
Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in over one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Misplaced Pages:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Wiki Medicine
HiI'm contacting you because, as a participant at Wikiproject Medicine, you may be interested in a new multinational non-profit organization we're forming at m:Wikimedia Medicine. Even if you don't want to be actively involved, any ideas you may have about our structure and aims would be very welcome on the project's talk page.
Our purpose is to help improve the range and quality of free online medical content, and we'll be working with like-minded organizations, such as the World Health Organization, professional and scholarly societies, medical schools, governments and NGOs - including Translators Without Borders.
Hope to see you there! --Anthonyhcole (talk) 07:49, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Notice of change
Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that if you are inactive for a continuous three year period, you will be unable to request return of the administrative user right. This includes inactive time prior to your desysopping if you were desysopped for inactivity and inactive time prior to the change in policy. Inactivity is defined as the absence of edits or logged actions. Until such time as you have been inactive for three years, you may request return of the tools at the bureaucrats' noticeboard. After you have been inactive for three years, you may seek return of the tools only through WP:RFA. Thank you. MBisanz 00:20, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
