Here is a great list of things to know and remember about this online encyclopedia -- it came in handy to me when first starting to edit Misplaced Pages and I still refer to it when necessary.

== avoidance is the best ==

Hi - I suggest (from my experience) - take the user off your watchlists and avoid them as completely as possible. No one is reading all his talkpage comments. - remember you are here to enjoy yourself and I recommend this method for such situations. ] (]) 22:50, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

:I appreciate your suggestion as well as your comments at the 3RR report. Over the year I've been here, I do remember seeing your comments and edits as Off2riorob, and felt then (as now) that you are a fair and knowledgable editor. Any comments you care to make at the AN/I report would likely be valuable there, as well. Sincere thanks, (]<span style="border:1px solid black;">'''&nbsp;]&nbsp;'''</span>]) 22:52, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
::Thanks you for saying that. I further recommend removing ANI from your watchlist for 24 hours and if after you go back after that the section will likely be archived and gone. ] (]) 23:01, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

==Victor Newman==
In regards to ], if you look at many of the other Young and the Restless characters pages, you will see that the format I have reverted to is similar to how many of the characters pages are. Those formats that you changed had been in place for a very long time. We want consistency in the character pages, which you got rid of. <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">— Preceding ] comment added by ] (]) 04:19, 30 December 2011 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:Unsigned IP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

== Edit war / misuse of rollback on ] ==

Please review the policies around use of rollback. You appear to be misusing them and employing them in an edit war on ]. ] <small>(])</small> 14:55, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

:(1)I didn't use rollback; (2)I'm not edit warring at the article; (3)The headers at the article before I changed them did not comply with MOS; (4)Baseless accusations are unwelcome here; please do your homework before you start throwing accusations of policy violations around. (]<span style="border:1px solid black;">'''&nbsp;]&nbsp;'''</span>]) 16:13, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
:* (passing note to Toddst1) Lhb is using Twinkle which uses rollback as its underlying mechanism however its application is different. Whereas rollback is used exclusively for reverting vandalism, Twinkle uses rollback even when we make neutral or reverting of good faith edits, I believe. I see that you are using it and may know what I'm referring to. It is listed as shown ]. I believe this part may be a misunderstanding. No comments on the remainder of what's here except to implore Lhb to perhaps calm down a little and ''ask Todd'' why he believes what he believes. If your name shows up in a log as having used rollback then his warning isn't a baseless accusation...it might be closer to a misunderstanding. Go easy, please. Todd is a good admin...you might try working with him for the project's sake.<br/><span style="text-shadow:#294 0.1em 0.1em 0.3em; class=texhtml">]</span> 17:17, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

{{od}}First off, I appreciate your motivation, Berean Hunter - I acknowledge that your post was an attempt to clear up what you saw as a possible misunderstanding. I do have to say, however, that I was never anything but "calm" in regard to the message Todd left here. What I did feel is this: I get tired of normal-Joe editors such as myself essentially never hearing from administrators until (a) a problem is brought to their attention, and then the one bringing the issue to their attention frequently gets kicked in the teeth through sarcasm or chastisement or blocking, or (b) the administrator comes to your talk page to point out something they perceive you did wrong (even if they were wrong in their perception) and then rub your nose in it. Wouldn't it be nice to see administrators who actually work to thank those of us who give freely of our time in Misplaced Pages instead of just working to berate, chastise, take sarcastic jabs at, and/or fault find?

::Apparently my coffee hadn't kicked in and I didn't notice the TW. Sorry for the confusion. However the note on edit warring is appropriate. Thanks for the vote of confidence Berean. ] <small>(])</small> 17:57, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

{{od}}While I realize I may be wasting my time hoping in vain, I look forward to the day I see a Misplaced Pages admin say, "I was wrong, period." and doesn't follow it up with "...but..." Now that I have that off my chest, I'm going to take Berean's word and believe in true AGF-style that "Todd is a good admin...you might try working with him for the project's sake". Shall we try again? :-) (]<span style="border:1px solid black;">'''&nbsp;]&nbsp;'''</span>]) 01:30, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

== Revert of Joe Bageant ==

Why did you revert my addition of Joe Bageant to the article on Rednecks in the 21st century?

No, I'm not logged in. I don't know how to log in. Does that mean I'll be ignored?

] (]) 16:34, 30 December 2011 (UTC)R. Anthony Lee

:Creating an account is simple; you can find instructions on how to do so at ]. I reverted your addition because it was unreferenced and there was no explanation for the addition in the edit summary. If you are also unfamiliar with how and why to use an edit summary, you can find information on them ]. Another good reason to create and use an account is that your edits will be taken more seriously - when an IP user edits w/o using an edit summary, said edits are often looked upon as possible vandalism. Especially when no reference is provided. (]<span style="border:1px solid black;">'''&nbsp;]&nbsp;'''</span>]) 16:46, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

== Revert of Jon Krakauer ==
The facts I write about the article regarding Into Thin Aire are sustained on specific books and pages, please respect my work. The facts are there and wikipedia is not mean to promote a writer, thus stop changing what we contribute, even if you do not like it. The changes I made Jon Krakauer are based on facts verifiable on books, which I supply to the specific pages. Misplaced Pages is not about providing promotion or commodity texts, if you Lhb1239 doesn't like it is not enough to change those texts. I see you (Lhb1239) have an history of turning down uncomfortable comments for Krakauer ¿are you Krakauer or an employee? ¿Are you open to discuss it?
Regards

Responded on your talk page with a warning template. (]<span style="border:1px solid black;">'''&nbsp;]&nbsp;'''</span>]) 18:10, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

== Jon Krakauer ==

Before you make the third undone, and get banned:

I was informed by WikiPuppies that we should get a consensus on the matter, if you do not like what I wrote please change (not erase) the text in order to your knowledge, and will see from there.

Regards ] (]) 19:08, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

That's not what the warning was about. Please re-read it. The only consensus on POV is that POV statements cannot remain in a Misplaced Pages article and will be removed. (]<span style="border:1px solid black;">'''&nbsp;]&nbsp;'''</span>]) 19:14, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
