Moni started training in Jiu Jitsu and Judo at the age of 8 under Opa Schutte, himself 2 generations away from the founder of Kodokan Judo, Jigoro Kano. Throughout his youth, Moni dominated Israel’s competitive scene, winning 6 national titles. Moni served in the IDF as sportay mitzien (excellent sportsman), but decided to give up these special privileges and instead opted to join an elite group of Israeli Special Forces Commandos. During his service in the IDF Moni fought in the Yom Kippur WarAfter his service to the IDF, Moni continued with his martial arts roots and opened one of the top training schools in Israel, Maccabi Tel Aviv, while winning another National title as an adult. In addition, Moni would frequently travel to Japan to study the technical wizardry of World Judo and Sambo Champions Isao Okano and Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki. Among Moni’s best Israeli students: Avi Nardia, one of the leading counter terrorism instructors in the world, and Yael Arad, Israel’s first Olympic and World medalist.In the 1980s, Moni introduced his system of Krav Maga in Canada at the Jewish Community Center in Toronto. He would later go on to establish the Samurai Club. Some of Moni’s most successful Canadian students include UFC Champion, Carlos Newton, Shooto star, Joel Gerson, UFC fighter, Mark Bocek and more.

Instructor program for the law enforcement sector in 2009 and the SmartSafe program for women (aka WCKM) and the WIN life skills for kids.

Moni Aizik is an Israeli-born martial artist. Aizik has a jujutsu and judo background and is the founder of Commando Krav Maga.

Israel

At the age of eight, under Opa Schutte, Aizik started training in judo and jujutsu. He won national title in judo seven times.

Aizik states that he was asked, shortly after the Yom Kippur War, to improve upon the army's existing hand-to-hand combat system due to his knowledge of martial arts, including various Israeli fighting systems, jujitsu and judo.

After his military service he trained at a Maccabi Tel Aviv club in Israel: Krav maga(CKM), Jiujitsu, and Judo. One of Aizik's students was Yael Arad, a 1992 Olympic silver medalist in judo.

North America

His son, Tal Aizik, is a professional Dota 2 player who currently plays for Nouns Esports.
