== Which/that == | |||
I am pleased that you reverted from 'that' to 'which' on the Battle of Waterloo article. The spurious convention, often slavishly applied in the USA, insisting that 'which' is only used in conjuction with a comma is stifling good expression in English. I particularly despise journal editors/proofreaders who change my use of 'which' to 'that'. ] (]) 07:10, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

== Okay, I get it. == | |||
Enough is enough. I realize you are angry about the article, fine. But posting to intervene on other communications which do not concern you IS harassment. Please do stop. This is getting ridiculous.]] 21:47, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
:It is categorically ''not'' harassment to correct the false information you are providing to other editors. → ] ] 21:50, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
:*How can you be sure that I am providing "false" information? Up to this point, I have made all good edits on Misplaced Pages. There is no guideline that says I can, or cannot give a class on how to do the essentials of Misplaced Pages. Is it possible for you to just cool down for a while? In addition, albeit a very childish way, I would like to thank you for finding the errors on the article that I created. I would have appreciated a more adult level conversation, adult meaning someone of age 18 or older(I live in the U.S.). But either way, thank you for your contributions. I appreciate your hard work and your candor. Just please cool off a little before intervening in what you may perceive as "incorrect" information. Good day to you!]] 21:54, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
::*Did you not read what I posted on your talkpage? I outlined quite precisely how and why what you were saying was false. The rest of your passive-aggressive nonsense I shall ignore. → ] ] 21:57, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
:::* Per my talk page, I'll only answer your requests via the ANI until this is resolved. I think this is becoming silly.]] 22:03, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
::::*You're the only person making this silly. ''You'' misrepresented sources, not me. ''You'' gave blatantly false information to a new editor, not me. ''You'' asked me ''"How can you be sure that I am providing "false" information?"'' when I had '''already told you''' exactly how and why what you had said was wrong. You may wish to read ] and reflect on how it applies to your behaviour.

:::::* You should read these article that you are posting all over on my wall and yours. Most of them say something to the effect of giving the other user the benefit of the doubt when it comes to good faith. You have yet to do this. Maybe in another life, eh?]] 22:22, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
::::::*If you're going to present yourself as an expert, you need to demonstrate that you actually have expertise. You have demonstrated the opposite. So, since you are presenting yourself as an expert with no basis for doing so, I am going to treat you as though you actually are an expert and I am not going to sugarcoat anything. If you had merely said "oh shit, I got that so wrong, sorry, listen to the guy who ''actually'' knows what he's talking about," then I would be happy to assume good faith. As things stand, you have exhausted any good faith I was willing to extend to you. → ] ] 22:31, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
== Learning == | |||
Thank you for the comment. I am learning the ropes here on Misplaced Pages. Keystoneridin was doing nothing more than merely showing functions of Misplaced Pages and explaining constructive edits versus vandalism. He showed the class the CVUA academy and some features on Misplaced Pages that I did not know anything about prior to the presentation. I thought the class was informative enough for me to jump into Misplaced Pages without having to ask someone constant questions. — Preceding ] comment added by ] (] • ]) 22:42, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
:Asking questions is in fact a good thing. So is staying as far as possible from the CVU; they're largely a bunch of little kids who have mistaken the 'sweeping up the trash' aspect of countering vandalism for some sort of holy quest wrapped in pseudo-militaristic jargon. Stay far away, is my advice. If you want some actual nuts-and-bolts training in how Misplaced Pages works, see ], which will give you a much better education. I no longer maintain the lessons or anything, but if you work through things yourself you should have a very firm grasp of how Misplaced Pages works and how to edit. → ] ] 23:06, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

:You'll have to do a few things first.
:#Stop 'educating' people until you know what you're talking about
:#Explain how you got from 'the sources didn't copy correctly' to 'the sources I used you can't access so I can't put them in.' These are mutually exclusive propositions; MSWord doesn't know other people can't access links, it merely copies and pastes text.
:#Apologize for the false accusation of vandalism. You've set yourself up as an expert, therefore you (should) know what ], and therefore you were using it deliberately wrong as an attack.
:#Spell my name correctly.
:When you do those things, it's possible that I may grow some respect for you. → ] ] 22:57, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Roux, you know that there's no way that you nor ArbComm can stop ? (]''']''']) 23:40, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
:He is significantly biased, therefore involved, therefore yes in fact Arbcom or indeed anyone else can prevent him from taking ''any'' actions in regards to me. The fact of his bias is apparent; I told him to stay away, so he continued needling via ANI. You're usually more perceptive than this. Don't disappoint me by turning into yet another admin zombie. {{subst:User:Roux/sig}
