She first competed for the title of ] in 2002, where she placed in the top fifteen, and then at ] 2005, where she placed second runner-up. She was eligible to compete in Alabama because of her college affiliations. In the Miss USA 2006 pageant she also won the Miss Photogenic award, becoming the first woman to win this award at both Miss Teen USA and Miss USA. |
