I have the same view i.e that Mittal Steel should not be merged into Arcelor Mittal as technically , legally and culturally they are different companies. Even if mittal steel does not exist anymore it does provide a useful antitheses for students and knowledge mongers alike to know what the older company was all about . |

The list of those companies is wrong to my eyes, as many of the enumerated companies have been absorbed long before by the preceding companies ] and ]. I even saw some ] companies. I suggest, that all the companies absorbed before the merger should be included to the corresponding pages of the initial companies, preserving the history of the companies. How much of this unreferenced article is actually right? For example it lists Thy-Marcinelle and Forges de la Providence as predecessors -yet I don't see any evidence for this - both appear to be owned by completely differenct companies. |
