I added a vandalism warning here with Vandalproof, which I've removed. It seems that Vandalproof can do a revert right after you have reverted vandalism, and then it warns the one who fixed it. I only spotted it because it told me i was warning an admin. ] 13:41, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

STOP REVERTING MY EDITS-Taracka

== Quick question regarding ]==
You rv'd an IP a short while ago who had changed quite a lot of the article content. After your initial rv, the anon repeated his/her same edits. Another editor has made a few changes to the article since then. I am not a regular editor on that particular article. I only noticed it because it popped up in my VandalProof watchlist and I traced back a few steps just to see the recent edit history. From your last version to the current one, there appears to be large amounts of text missing including several citations. Perhaps, if you have time, you could take another peek and see if everything looks OK. I'd hate to see an FA suddenly go off track because of 1 bad editor. Cheers and take care! ] 00:09, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Well, I hace confessed to vandalizing for the past several months, and for permanently scarring my reputation. I want to state now that Tex's contention that I haven't left is entirely false, I only came back on the 23rd to voice my opinion against RobChurch, and his RfA.
]
Well, my attack: I am sorry for being the CIyde vandal and for my attacks on John Reid. I am sorry that I came here, stressing myself, and others out. To further emphasize this, I did create an account with the intention of it being constructive after a three month long meltdown. Hopefully, I will be able to edit constructively, and I am sorry for all the trouble I cause. Yes, people reform, and to be honest, the point of the vandalism was to attract attention to what I see as incivility, and the reasons several of my friends have left here.
Following a ] in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. Hi, Curps. I see from your user page that you're on semi wikivacation, so I won't blame you if you don't answer this. A user {{Vandal|For_great_justice.}} was blocked for 3RR, and continues to be abusive on his talk page. I was looking for his (or her) user page, and forgot the dot at the end when I was typing it, so I got the page of {{Vandal|For_great_justice}}, who was blocked by you in February. It seems suspicious that this user would have such a similar name, and I'm wondering is an indefinite block in order. I notice that there are no contributions for the user you blocked, but I have sometimes found it necessary to remove contributions from page histories, or to delete newly-created articles, while blocking vandals, so I presume that was the case here. It makes it difficult for me to judge the connection of the new user to the old one, though. Have you any recollection of the case? Thanks. ] ] 23:06, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm on very long-term wiki-vacation. Good luck to everyone.

Note: "Curps" only exists within the pages of the Misplaced Pages website. Anyone else using this same name anywhere else (IRC chat, e-mail, message forum websites, in person in real life, etc) is not me. -- Curps 00:35, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Gaston m'enfin.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Gaston m'enfin.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 18:03, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Misplaced Pages:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Notice of change

Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that you will not longer be able to request restoration of the tools because of your prior inactivity. You have until December 30, 2012 to request restoration or else the policy will prevent you from doing so in the future; you would need to seek a new WP:RFA. Until December 30, you can file a request at WP:BN for review by the crats. Thank you. MBisanz 04:22, 3 December 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Pelageya Shajn

The article Pelageya Shajn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable under any criteria. No source that I can find (including a few about her husband) gives her more than a passing mention. Per Notability and a discussion at here, discovering a few asteroids or even having an asteroid named after her does not make a subject notable.

While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Zaurac

Hello Curps,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Zaurac for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Replaceable non-free use File:90 Antiope.gif

Thanks for uploading File:90 Antiope.gif. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Misplaced Pages. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vitaium (talk) 12:56, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:90 Antiope.gif

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:90 Antiope.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Vitaium (talk) 13:01, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
