== Notice about bot code == |
Hey all fellow developers who actually stalk this page. I have posted my code up on and I have to admit, it could use some review. This includes a bot who lists all active IPBEs, works the UAA Bot page, and the last script isn't mine, i'm just running it. If people want to take a look over it, and improve it, and especially fix the bug on ] where none of the names clear out after 7 days as they are supposed to. (it was too big to edit, and caused me to delete a page via Steward at 17+k revisions and manage to lock the enwiki database for 30 seconds or so) So if anyone would like to, they can leave me a message here, noting revisions, or preferably use github to show them, that would be great. Thanks for your time. -- ]]</font></font> 16:55, 11 July 2012 (UTC) |

I asked a question a few days ago and I got no response... Navigation of this whole site isn't easy for me. I would be most appreciative if you could direct me towards some help in taking care of the trojans I have on my computer. I've tried everything and when they're "quarantined" or "fixed" next time I turn on my computer they have multiplied. I fear the worst for my laptop if I don't get this resolved. PLEASE help. == Adding a sock to DQB's blacklist == |

Hey DeltaQuad! |

Is it possible to get sockpuppeteer ] added to the bot's blacklist of sockpuppets to look out for please? |
You can find a list of suspected socks of Trueman 31 and a list of confirmed sockpuppets. The user only ever vandalises ] related articles and his username usually contains the word "trueman", possibly in reference to ], a fictional character on EastEnders. |
Most of the vandalism seems confined to 3 articles, ], ] and ] and seem along the same lines each time. With Steve McFadden he usually says that , Dot Branning will apparently and the BBC have apparently , none of which are true! He has vandalised other EastEnders related articles but like I say the majority of the vandalism seems confined to these three. It's almost as if he has some sort of vendetta against the programme. |

== Overzealous matching == |
* The bot seems to be being somewhat overzealous at the moment in matching edits which it believes are trying to evade filter rules by using homographs. Although the homograph detection is useful in many cases, it frequently generates false positive for some patterns. An example is the consistent detection of any sequence of three k's and c's as being "KKK". Could we please have a flag for disabling homograph matching for particular patterns: perhaps something like NO_HOMOGRAPH_MATCHING might be a good name? -- ] (]) 11:08, 16 February 2013 (UTC) |

::Thanks. Once you've done so, could you please ping me on my talk page, so I can go over the blacklist, and add the annotation to some of the most common sources of false positives? Another example came to light today: the bot detected something as an obfuscation of "raep", which is itself an obfuscation of "rape".
