Not only should these infoboxes have a common appearance within a given sport, the teams affiliated with a given university should also have a common appearance and graphics style, and that can only be accomplished by a common template across all college sports teams. I think you would find the college football, basketball and baseball sports projects to be supportive, and the other college sports do not have active/vocal WikiProjects and tend to follow the lead of the football, basketball and baseball projects. The box has navigation left and right (to the preceding and following test series). I need an additional option, to move upwards. From test series pages I need provide a link to move upwards to country summary pages. The name of the entry could be "Summary" or whatever matches similar use in other infoboxes. |

Hi, you recently updated this tennis template based on the outcome of a merge discussion. I made a correction to the country field which was pointing to the city field ]. The field 'Established' (data6) has the same function as 'Founded' (data5) so it can be removed. If a field is removed should the fields that follow after it be renumbered or not? Is it possible to do a check to see if there any instances of the template in use where the 'Established' field is filled (and the 'Founded' field is empty)? I'm pretty sure that 'Founded' is the standard field to indicate when a tournament had its inaugural edition but a safety check on the usage of the 'Established' field would be useful. The same applies to 'Location' (data8.1). ::There was also a merge of the infobox dirt race into the "other" horse racing infobox, which is beyond bizarre, I know there is an interest at WP:Horse racing to have two infoboxes, one for race meets in general and one for specific races, and I don't want to mess with that without getting to a new consensus, but just so you know, there are basically three track surfaces in horse racing: "turf" (i.e. grass), "dirt" (i.e. dirt, sand, loam, mud, whatever), and "synthetic", which is basically sand specially coated with some sort of wax, oil, rubber particles or whatever, marketed as a number of things, including ], ] and so on. :::::::My humble opinion is that a single {{tl|infobox horse race}} could cover almost everything, both recurring races and individual year events with sufficient parameters and instructions. We basically have four possible items to consider: tracks (I think they have their own box already and no need to merge) racing meets (multiple races, sometimes over a couple of months), annually occurring races (Epsom Derby, etc.) and specific races (2014 Epsom Derby, etc.) The plurality of articles will be the middle one, the annually (or periodically) occurring races. The other complicating factor is a couple of cases where a race moves around and gets renamed. For example, the ] moves location from time to time, the ] will be getting moved and renamed because Hollywood Park closed, etc... That said, WP Horse racing folks (who have all been there longer than I) seem to have a sense that we may need two boxes. However, replacing the ''diocese type'' parameter by ''denomination'' (as in ) is, I believe, wrong. There is no such denomination called ''Albanian Orthodox'', the correct denomination is ]. To confirm that, I noticed that article ] states in its lead section that ''Eastern Orthodox'' is a denomination, as does ]. ''Albanian'', ''Greek'', ''Russian'', ''Georgian Orthodox'' are '''local traditions''', that can be mentioned besides rite, language and music, but not confused with them. Notice for instance the use of the word "''tradition''" in the name of ], a body of the ] which conducts liturgy in ], not in Russian. Note however that these local traditions can be most of the time guessed from the name of the Church or exarchate, and that people may not agree on what is a tradition and what is not. Some would argue that there exist no orther tradition in Eastern Orthodoxy besides Greek, Russian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Romanian and Georgian, some would add Albanian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Finnish, and many others. For these reasons I would not be opposed to remove altogether this notion from infoboxes, and mention only, when applicable, the denomination (Eastern Orthodox), Church body, rite, Church language and music style. |

: {{reply to|Magioladitis}} possibly, but I will probably end up going through all of them anyway. , but there is some concern that using a fixed number of columns is not the best idea, since the results are going to be suboptimal on a narrow screen. however, it would be silly to use fixed widths for a list with only two items, especially if the items are very short in length. so, I end up using a regexp to do most of the work, then tweak the result if necessary. it goes faster than many other tasks, in that I can easily do 100 to 200 per day without that much effort. so, at this rate, I will be done in a week. after I am done, it would be good to have a recheck, and possibly expand the list to include other div tags (e.g., div with class=references-small or similar such expressions). ] (]) 20:20, 15 August 2014 (UTC) |

::: the biggest problem is when a ref/note pair is not collapsed together since clicking on the ref won't take you to the note, or the other way around, depending on which is collapsed. I, personally, don't think the influenced sections should be collapsed. there have been some heated discussions about this, with some editors wanting to completely remove all infoboxes, or at the very least, have them collapsed by default.
