			The climate is considered to be a local ]. During the year, there is abundant rainfall. This climate is considered to be ] to the ] climate classification. The average annual temperature in Buni is 15.6 °C. About 418 mm of precipitation falls annually.
	The climate of Booni is warm during summer & relative to the rest of the Valley, mainly because the sun shines directly in Booni.

	In contrast to more southerly valleys of Chitral has a dry ] (Köppen Csa) with almost no rainfall during ]. Precipitation occurs mainly from spring thunderstorms brought about by western frontal systems. In the winter the night time temperature occasionally drops to −10 C. Winter snowfall in the town can be quite heavy with an accumulation of up to two feet being quite common, at higher elevations snowfall can reach as high as 20 metres (70 ft).

Buni (Urdu: بونی; also spelled Booni) is a town and the headquarters of Upper Chitral District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The 2,500 m (8,200 ft) high Qaqlasht Meadows, which host a major festival in the region, are situated near the town.

Lying near the foothills of the Buni Zom, Buni is located in proximity to glacial lakes due to which the town has faced floodings various times. Through the glacial melting followed by heavy monsoon rainfalls, the region was severely affected by the floods during August 2024.

Demography

The residents of Buni are Khos, and they speak Khowar which is spoken and understood throughout the Chitral Valley. Urdu, the national language of Pakistan, is also spoken and understood. The residents are Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims and Sunni.

Climate

The climate is considered to be a local Mediterranean climate. During the year, there is abundant rainfall. This climate is considered to be Csa to the Köppen-Geiger climate classification. The average annual temperature in Buni is 15.6 °C. About 418 mm of precipitation falls annually.
