"Microsoft mistakenly referred to Groove as Groove Music in its announcement. The company says it's simply Groove and is working to correct its mistake. This article has been updated to reflect the correct name." |

It should be noted that Xbox Music is from Zune Music. The only article that addresses Zune Music is ] so I don't think we need to merge any articles. Does anybody think this article should mention the Zune Music history or just address that it's formally Zune Music? Sources: ♫ ] (]) 21:09, 18 October 2012 (UTC) |

I agree, in the Windows folder it's named Microsoft.zunemusic and not Xbox, so it's not a different service but the SAME under a different name, thus it would be relevant to include it in the article. --] (]) 14:21, 4 June 2013 (UTC) |

:Hi. I can see that in http://www.xbox.com/en-US/music too. Looks like we have two conflicting sources, both from Microsoft. Which one should we choose? Or, any other idea? Best regards, ] (]) 22:36, 31 December 2013 (UTC) |

I think the 18 million one is correct since this covers all three major labels. It's what most services offer. Where would they get another 12 million tracks from? ] (]) 20:38, 4 April 2014 (UTC) |

== Logo vs. computer icon == |
Recently, {{u|Cloudbound}} replaced . I reverted because of ] and ]. Here is a more detailed why: |
The computer icon clear gives more information than the logo. The logo is not specific to Xbox Music; it is the Xbox logo with "Xbox Music" word written near it. As such, it is a decorative thing, used to promote Xbox brand. ] #17 says use of such logos are inappropriate. (There has been similar discussion about the generic Windows logos in ], in which administrator ] used his admin power to override me and enforce ]. Only back then, there was no version-specific Windows logos.) Such non-free contents can be explained with words alone. (Of course it is nothing to explain, because what a reader is supposed to do with it?) The computer icon, on the other hand, is an important method of recognizing Xbox Music app in Windows. When this computer icon is seen (alone or with text), it represents a computer program that can be run. |

== Name == |

Microsoft lists the name as ''Groove Music'' in several sources, a name that has been repeated by several news sites: |

Also note that the image used on ''all'' news sites (even the one that don't call it ''Groove Music'') use the image that reads "Welcome to Groove Music", so I suggest renaming the page. --] (]) 01:07, 20 July 2015 (UTC) |

== Confusing names. == |
Although the name Groove Music appears in various Microsoft websites, Windows 10, and Windows 10 Mobile, for some reason many sources and Microsoft itself simply use the term "Groove" and to make matters even more confusing the new ] application is called "Microsoft Groove" I don't suggest a rename, but it's clear that the naming can be confusing so I suggest that we could put alternative names in the entry in the future. --] (]) 07:40, 1 August 2015 (UTC) |
