Best-ever season

Don't think 98-99 was their best ever season. They also came third back in the early 70s, under Willie Ormond, when Henry Hall was playing, behind Celtic and Aberdeen and ahead of Rangers! PatGallacher 2005 July 9 10:04 (UTC)

Club kit colours in the infobox

I've attempted to change the kit diagrams to match the current kit. If it can be improved any, please do so, I can't find the guide page to how it gets done. See the many photos on the official site for how the strips look in the "real world". Below is the code for how it was before (just in case it is needed in future):

Record defeat

For a long time the article has stated that Cowdenbeath inflicted Saints' record defeat, when actually it was Johnstone that conceded the twelve goals. - Dudesleeper talk 19:16, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Managers

I am currently working on a "Managers of St Johnstone F.C." article. My main source is a series of articles from the official club match programmes of the late 1980s which takes it up to Alex Totten. This series of articles starts with David Taylor as the first manager which contradicts the current section on here which the new seperate article will greatly expand on. According to the current article, there was two managers before David Taylor, so which is correct? What was the actual status of Peter Grant and Jimmy Buchan? --Grievous Angel (talk) 06:34, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

• Comment - I'm not sure I understand what you are saying Stevie. As I observed above, the MoS is actually quite clear about convention in British English of not using a full stop when the abbrevation finishes with the last letter of the full word. Vandalism

I have been loathe to do this but the persistent vandalism by user 81.154.241.99 on this page suggests a form of temporary protection for the page is required. CoatbridgeChancellor (talk) 14:40, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

In addition, this is a WP:RPP case I've had before. Mostly, an administrator would decline your request citing there isn't enough activity to justify the protection. A better reason for protection would be if multiple IPs were vandalizing the page, preferably at least 3 IPs or new users. I have a feeling this IP is removing some players as the players he's removing are on loan to other teams. Then again, not all of the players they are removing are even on loan right now. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 02:13, 13 July 2017 (UTC)

And now I'm done here. As it turns out, the IP who was removing players was correct in doing so. However, their removal was poor as they also did not notice a hidden table for players out on loan. I have taken the liberty of moving those players to the correct table. It's easier for all of us if they are not to be moved from this table until they return from loan. Sorry to come back to this jd22292 but these players have returned from any loan deals that took place in season 2016-17 and have returned to the squad as of 1 July, the beginning of season 2017-18.
