== Where? == | |||
Does it say "A person who practices social work with a Bachelor's, ] (MSW), and/or a Doctorate degree in Social Work is called a social worker."? Try dictionary.com: ''Social work: noun 1. organized work directed toward the betterment of social conditions in the community, as by seeking to improve the condition of the poor, to promote the welfare of children, etc.'' No mention of degree. If you do social work, whether or not you have a degree, you are a social worker. It might be best to have one, but it is not required to be a "social worker". ] (]) 09:22, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
: I understand your confusion. This is one of the misguided notion about social work. The content of this articles relies on Professional Social Work, and requirements are mentioned in every countries specific associations. Alms giving was the origin form of Social Work in U.K and India, this can be considered as social work and definition fits, but now it is considered as social service and not social work.
::Where does it say that it relies on "Professional Social Work"? Perhaps that is the legal definition in your area, but Misplaced Pages uses ]. Please sign your talk with four tildes <nowiki>"~~~~"</nowiki>. ] (]) 09:36, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
] You may be '''blocked from editing without further notice''' the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with <span class="plainlinks"></span> to ]. <!-- Template:Huggle/warn-4 --><!-- Template:uw-vandalism4 --> ] (]) 09:30, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
::Your reference did not cover that "a social worker needs a degree". Nothing about a degree is mentioned on this page: http://workforce.socialworkers.org/whatsnew.asp ] (]) 09:33, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
::: Requirement of a degree http://www.learnhowtobecome.org/social-worker/ http://study.com/how_to_become_a_social_worker.html
::::If you would, please read the top of my talk page. It states: ''I prefer to keep the conversation on one page. If you leave a message on my talk page here, I will likely reply here. If I left a message on your talk page, please reply there. Ping me by adding {{tlx|Ping|Jim1138}} at the start of your reply, sign with four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>), and save both at the same time.''
::::As having a multi-page conversation is problematic, I removed your talk from my page. If you wish to have a conversation, please add it here. Thank you ] (]) 09:41, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
:::: {{tlx|Ping|Jim1138}} I have reverted since your question and citation is cleared. NASW link gives you may have to search. But the new link says it directly. Again this edit was a revert of a earlier vandalism effort. Thank you for the advice. ] (]) 09:45, 28 February 2016 (UTC) |
