'''Ferdinand Gravert''' was a german Ship Master and Capehornier who lived between 1847-1919. Ferdinand Gravert made a huge contribution to the commercial development of Glückstadt, Germany, as the Owner of three ships trading nitrate from South America to Europe between 1876 and 1913. His father -Heinrich Gravert- was the main "Schlachtermeister" of that city and was given the title of "honorific citizen" in 1846. One of his descendants -Alex Gravert- keeps the tradition as Ship Master and Manager of his own Company at Chile.
