Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/User_talk:Supermann"

Please don't bite me coz I'm a new comer from China. I hate to say it's original research because some of my friends who knows music contribute a lot to the findings. What I did most is to probably compile and tie in to the movie timeline so that others can look for the music easier. Later on, I found some other websites confirming my findings at the following websites:

(1) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0348150/soundtrack
(2) http://www.soundtrackinfo.com/ost.asp?soundtrack=5564
(3) http://www.hollywood.com/movies/fulldetail/id/2439035

I don't know how to include them as my source when I edited the Superman Returns page. Please don't remove my virgin contribution. Please help improve. I think sharing the music knowledge is quite important.

From novice user:Supermann at 11:23, 15 September 2006 (UTC+8)

:Don't give it to me, reference it in the article. I was merely stating that you should put citations next to your work on the page. I didn't plan on rushing to delete anything. But, you should be aware that there are many editors for that article, and some may think that it's inclusion is not necessary and delete it on principle, regardless of cites. To be on the safe side, I would hurry and cite the music to at least give it some foundation, it will be easier to fight for on a talk page if you can prove that it's noted in other places. To do a proper reference place "< ref >" at the beginning of your internet link and "< /ref >" (except don't put the spaces in there, I only did that so you could view it) at the end of the internet link. Place the whole thing next to one of the songs. It will appear like this: <ref>http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0348150/soundtrack </ref>. ] 03:38, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

:hi there. I'm really not good at learning these web languages. However, I did try. Would you please take a look at the update I make? I put the ref next to the section heading. Many thanks. And by the way, how to add the time next to your name during "talks"? Right now I have to hand-type it. And do I need to reply what I wrote again at the discussion page of your user page. Will you be notified that I have replied to your comments at my talk page? I post the same content of my latest reply at your discussion page just now. Thanks Bignole. ] 12:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC+8)

::I cleaned it up a bit. Next time don't put the reference in the title of the section, it breaks the code. I placed it in the opening paragraph. If you aren't getting a time next to your name it's probably because you are only placing 3 tildes (~) at the end. Try placing 4 tildes (~ ~ ~ ~) ((again without the spaces)). Also, since I was the first person to leave a comment on your talk page it automatically set it up so that I am "watching" your page. So, I know if you make a change on it. I normally don't want user talk pages, without a reason. I just had not taken the time to remove the talk pages that I "popped" recently. From now on, you don't need to reply to your own page, just reply to my page. The same goes for other users you may confer with. Most do not normally watch fellow user pages. ] 04:13, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Superman's significance is in no way diminished by a reader not knowing the cemetery. It's a minor detail when summarizing the plot. People can watch the movie for it. Next, the "tanking" (which it certainly did not tank...Not sure why you think that) of a film doesn't change the important or wellknownness of a character. Wolverine Origins "tanked" and no one would discount how well known that character is. Again, Superman being buried in a particular cemetery isn't relevant. The funeral in Metropolis (yes, kind of more important because that's his current residence and where the fictional people of the world know Superman to be) is important because it symbolizes that the world celebrated the life of Superman in his "hometown", while his real friends did so in his true home of Smallville. Lastly, including that bit has no bearing on one's citizenship or patriotism. Not sure why you would mention that. ] ] 18:40, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

::Comparing to other films, then all movies have tanked compared to ''Titanic''. There are real locations in the film, even if Metropolis isn't real. The character doesn't become relevant just because of Arlington Cemetery, which for most people means absolutely nothing. Unless you're in the military, or are knowledgeable about the military, you wouldn't know the significance of the cemetery. That said, where he was "buried" is irrelevant to the fact that "Superman" was buried in one location and "Clark Kent" was buried in another. You're applying you're own personal interpretation to the significance of the location of the burial. There's nothing that supports that as significant for understanding the plot of the film. ] ] 23:07, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

{{unblock reviewed|I, aka BlissMedia/Shxiyi temporarily, had, have and will not have any contractual relationship and COI of any kind with Bliss Media. I started writing recently because I noticed ] has an upcoming film in his filmography which had been called SMART Chase: Fire & Earth. Some user named Xdeluna, correct me if I am wrong, initially created a page for that particular movie using outdated information or news article. After understanding facts, I started to edit the article and used movie poster grabbed from the social media account of that movie at Sina Weibo. Due to my unfamiliarity with the complicated picture licensing rules, I naively came up with the user name BlissMedia to attribute the source of the image, thinking it had to be done this way to respect copyright. One thing led to another, then I created page for Bliss Media and Thomas Price (actor) using the same BlissMedia account instead of my own Supermann account. Once blocked, I requested a user name change to avoid appearance of COI. Looking back, had I been using my own Supermann account all along, then the articles would probably have been only tagged with notability issues, despite clear and obvious signs at the most recent 89th Academy Awards. Again, there is no payment whatsoever. Please look at the totality of the evidence and stop this innuendo. You could first start by looking at the pattern of the user account Supermann. I am a film buff dated back to 2006. That's why my tiny edits have been focused on movies over the years. It is thru this recent experience that I started learning to write in a longer style, how to use infobox, etc, because I took ownership of creating a page. I apologize if I left the impression that I was evading blocks and what not. It is hard to use wikipedia in a totalitarian country like PRC, because the Chinese Misplaced Pages page is blocked and I had to switch back and forth. I was eager to get the accurate information out backed by facts. I did not paint a rosy picture of the company Bliss Media at its page other than simply listing out its filmography. When it comes to Thomas Price (actor), I added him because he had been out on the scene for 10 plus years and his name is on the movie poster. Going back to the Smart Chase page, when some other editor raised the point of Das Film suing the company, I did not put out a press release, but rather I went to the actual court website and cited the legal document pdf showcasing the latest status of the suit. If an administrator could piece out all these threads together and once again actually read the tone of the content, then s/he could realize there is no paid promotion. I am doing this on my own free time. I am a person of integrity and do not like writing shameless press releases. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. ==Declaration of Socketpuppetry/COI/Paid Editing==
I have come out in person to community members incl. but not limited to ] at ] in May. I am not a ferocious writer with a lot of publicly available articles though. Over the past 10 years, I have been contributing to the community in a very small scale primarily related to the movies which I have watched. Given my immigrant background, my username is apparently inspired by ] immigrant ] and my first edit is related to the movie ]. How time flies. In 2014, I set up a separate account supermansaga with the initial intent to edit on non-English Misplaced Pages pages, but it has become a ].

Because of my personal journey, I have a thing for military-themed movies and subjects. That is why I fixed ] to ensure President Obama's legacy over a two-day period in Feb 2016 with some crazy hours. Regrettably, neither the president nor his Dept of Defense paid me for my efforts.

A year later, because I was grateful for movie production and distribution company Bliss Media's efforts to bring pacifist war film ] to China, I decided to edit or create pages related to their existing and upcoming projects, incl. but not limited to S.M.A.R.T. Chase, Bliss Media, Wei Han, Thomas Price (actor) from Feb thru Mar 2017. To consolidate all such efforts and go around the photo uploading rules of using high definition pictures, I ridiculously set up yet another account BlissMedia/Shxiyi without understanding the gravity of ] rules. Nor did I fully understand the impact of Bliss Media and Wei Han pages having been previously deleted years ago because of an advertising nature. I did reach out to the company to encourage them to release the rights of high-def pictures, but I presume they never acted on my suggestion. Anyways, I am the sole person behind all three accounts of supermann, supermansaga, Blissmedia/shxiyi. That's why at certain points supermann shared IP addresses with shxiyi after that account was blocked. There are no so-called coworkers there conspiring with me to spam Misplaced Pages in 2017. ] has concluded that what I had created for Bliss Media the page is quite different from an earlier version. The tones and wordings of my unblock appeal requests have been consistent. I was indeed physically in China traveling to visit family and relatives and friends, but had to use proxy most of the time to circumvent the ]. For example, NYTimes is blocked. Looking back, I wish I had simply and only used my main account supermann to edit all those pages. While I was writing under the BlissMedia/shxiyi account, I did claim to be an agent of Thomas Price, because I was thinking from the perspective of the company, but as I have repeatedly written multiple times: I don't have any contractual relationship with the company that has clouded my judgment or enriched my pockets. I only care about whatever should and could be written about them. I have no interest in further promoting it other than convincing others that those pages should not be deleted due to notability.

== WikiProject Human Rights Revival ==
To sum up, I am indeed guilty of socketpuppetry and evading blocks in the heat of passionately defending my edits/creation. I am willing to put this chapter behind me by taking up the generous offer from ]. That is to say I will "agree to refrain from directly editing any article at all related to Bliss Media, broadly construed. You could suggest edits on the articles' talk pages, so long as you disclose your conflict of interest. And of course, no more sockpuppetry." And ] will watch over me, too. However, I wish the deleted pages of Bliss Media, Wei Han, Thomas Price (actor) could be restored and have any puffery removed. I also wish there was an expiration to the stringent requirement of staying away from those pages. If there are people actively editing them without spamming, I could definitely stay away. But last time I checked, people undoing changes on S.M.A.R.T. Chase are not maintaining it well and left dead links. For example, for people complaining there is little about this movie, they did not notice ] appeared on ] on the same night of ] in May to talk about it.

Hi! I recently posted at ] about the lack of activity on the project and its being labeled as "semi-active". I noticed that you are a member of the project, and would like to get your input if possible. See ] on the Talk page, and if you have insight into possibly reviving the project or have any thoughts about it, feel free to comment. Thanks! ] (]) 22:21, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
Thank you so much to those policing in the community who have made me a better contributor down the road. I do believe this is a necessary lesson.

:As I am the original blocking admin on this particular account, I have now lifted your block under these terms. You are free to request removal of the restriction around directly editing anything to do with Bliss Media, broadly construed, in six months (i.e. in December, 2017) and any admin may lift these editing restrictions without consulting me, so long as they have verified you've made no edits to any such articles, broadly construed. You are free to suggest edits at any time, on these articles' talk pages, but must otherwise stay away from that topic area. You are under no restriction from articles completely unrelated to Bliss Media. I do not wish to trap you here. You need to stay away from ], just to use one example, as that is part of your editing restriction. That's a topic related to Bliss Media. You already know this; your previous edits were specifically to discuss the relation with Bliss Media projects, there. --] (]) 11:38, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Gladiator 20th Anniversary Edition.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Gladiator 20th Anniversary Edition.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Misplaced Pages may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука 02:36, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

Hello @Iruka13, I have updated the description. It's important that you actually compare the two pictures closely in terms of the literal description. Supermann (talk) 03:52, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
Hi. In your justification it is written that this image should be placed at the top of the article. — Ирука 04:05, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
I have clarified further and you should actually read the article and look at the changes I made over there. Gladiator (2000 soundtrack) - Misplaced Pages Thx Supermann (talk) 04:11, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
How are these image different other than the extra line of text and slightly different brightness? What makes this image so useful for the article? Does it mention this image? — Ирука 04:25, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
It proves the existence of this soundtrack. It's also backed up by a reliable source: Soundtrack.Net which I have never seen anyone disputed before. You must not have seen the citation I added. https://www.soundtrack.net/album/gladiator-20th-anniversary-edition/ Supermann (talk) 04:33, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
Hiiii. Have you had a chance to review my reply? Could you please remove the tagging? Thx Supermann (talk) 15:46, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Sure. The administrator will come and remove it. Or delete the file. — Ирука 15:55, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
