This is what the Sic template is intended for, and the fact that the heading of a report for election results is off by four years is not one that should go unstated. Hi
Hi, im GenericBobJoe, you sent my IP address a warning for vandalism, the page that I apparently vandalized said the vandalism was in 2007. I got the computer with this IP last year, and I don't think teaneck is gay. I seriously do not know why this is happening. You should TempBan me from editing for now, maybe one day, and i'll see what's wrong with this computer. If this keeps happening,or if you might know anything about this, please reply. -GenericBobJoe

On Saturday April 30, 2016, in conjunction with a global campaign, the Guggenheim will host its fourth Misplaced Pages edit-a-thon — or, #guggathon — to enhance Misplaced Pages's coverage of modern and contemporary artists from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and to counter geocultural systemic bias on Misplaced Pages. The Guggenheim aims to further the goals of the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative, and build on the model of campaigns like the Misplaced Pages Edit-a-thon at the Guggenheim: Women in Architecture, Misplaced Pages Asian Month, and Art+Feminism. New and experienced editors are welcome. The event will include a training session for participants who are new to Misplaced Pages and Misplaced Pages specialists will be on hand to provide basic instruction and editing support. Can’t join us in New York? Visit our global MENA Artists Month partnership page to coordinate international and online events as well.

WikiCup 2019 March newsletter
And so ends the first round of the competition. Everyone with a positive score moves on to Round 2. With 56 contestants qualifying, each group in Round 2 contains seven contestants, with the two leaders from each group due to qualify for Round 3 as well as the top sixteen remaining contestants.
Our top scorers in Round 1 were:
- L293D, a WikiCup newcomer, led the field with ten good articles on submarines for a total of 357 points.
- Adam Cuerden, a WikiCup veteran, came next with 274 points, mostly from eight featured pictures, restorations of artwork.
- MPJ-DK, a wrestling enthusiast, was in third place with 263 points, garnered from a featured list, five good articles, two DYKs and four GARs.
- Usernameunique came next at 243, with a featured article and a good article, both on ancient helmets.
- Squeamish Ossifrage was in joint fifth place with 224 points, mostly garnered from bringing the 1937 Fox vault fire to featured article status.
- Ed! was also on 224, with an amazing number of good article reviews (56 actually).
These contestants, like all the others, now have to start scoring points again from scratch. Between them, contestants completed reviews on 143 good articles, one hundred more than the number of good articles they claimed for, thus making a substantial dent in the review backlog. Well done all!

In response to your opinion on Freehold Raceway Mall "puffery"
Hi Alansohn. In case you did not receive my response on my Talk page, I'll just reinsert the message here on your talk page. If you agree that listing a few stores on a mall article would not classify as 'puffery', then why exactly did do you remove the list of stores then? If you agree that simply having a list of a few stores isn't 'puffery', then I'm glad we both have a mutual understanding. I'd imagine you would consult with me if you have any issues. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Freeholdman12 (talk • contribs) 5 June 2023 (UTC)
WikiCup 2023 September newsletter
The fourth round of the competition has finished, with anyone scoring less than 673 points being eliminated. It was a high scoring round with all but one of the contestants who progressed to the final having achieved an FA during the round. The highest scorers were
- Epicgenius, with 2173 points topping the scores, gained mainly from a featured article, 38 good articles and 9 DYKs. He was followed by
- Sammi Brie, with 1575 points, gained mainly from a featured article, 28 good articles and 50 good article reviews. Close behind was
- Thebiguglyalien, with 1535 points mainly gained from a featured article, 15 good articles, 26 good article reviews and lots of bonus points.
Between them during round 4, contestants achieved 12 featured articles, 3 featured lists, 3 featured pictures, 126 good articles, 46 DYK entries, 14 ITN entries, 67 featured article candidate reviews and 147 good article reviews. Congratulations to our eight finalists and all who participated! It was a generally high-scoring and productive round and I think we can expect a highly competitive finish to the competition.
Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 4 but before the start of round 5 can be claimed in round 5. Remember too that you must claim your points within 10 days of "earning" them and within 24 hours of the end of the final. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Misplaced Pages:WikiCup/Reviews. It would be helpful if this list could be cleared of any items no longer relevant. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to keep down the review backlogs! Welcome to the 2025 WikiCup!
Happy New Year and Happy New WikiCup! The 2025 competition has just begun and all article creators, expanders, improvers and reviewers are welcome to take part. Even if you are a novice editor, we hope the WikiCup will give you a chance to improve your editing skills as you go. If you have already signed up, your submissions page can be found here. If you have not yet signed up, you can add your name here and the judges will set up your submissions page ready for you to take part. Any questions on the scoring, rules or anything else should be directed to one of the judges, or posted to the WikiCup talk page.
For the 2025 WikiCup, we've implemented several changes to the scoring system. The highest-ranking contestants will now receive tournament points at the end of each round, and final rankings are decided by the number of tournament points each contestant has. If you're busy and can't sign up in January, don't worry: Signups are now open throughout the year. To make things fairer for latecomers, the lowest-scoring contestants will no longer be eliminated at the end of each round.
The first round will end on 26 February. The judges for the WikiCup this year are: Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs · email), Epicgenius (talk · contribs · email), Frostly (talk · contribs · email), Guerillero (talk · contribs · email) and Lee Vilenski (talk · contribs · email). John Hart in Hopewell
While editing John Hart, I noticed that he was listed as a notable person of Hopewell, New Jersey, but was not in Category:People from Hopewell, New Jersey. He lived on his farm on Hart Avenue in Hopewell from 1742 to 1779 and has a memorial at the Old School Baptist Church and Cemetery of Hopewell. Shouldn't he be in the category? Thanks, Zeete (talk) 11:16, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
Zeete, Hart's article places him in Hopewell Township. He died in 1779, and Hopewell Borough was not formed until 1891. I had added Hart as a notable in Hopewell, New Jersey, in this edit that was made 17 years ago. An archived copy of that source quoted there says "John Hart lived in Hopewell Township, in what is now the town of Hopewell, which was then known locally as Baptist Meeting House, for the church there."I don't see that this source means that he lived in Hopewell Borough and I hadn't seen anything in his article to support a connection to Hopewell Borough, so that's why I removed the category.I greatly respect your work on the historical aspects of the state and I may be missing something, but I don't see it. Alansohn (talk) 02:25, 5 January 2025 (UTC)- Zeete, after further digging, the John Hart House is in Hopewell Borough. I added that to the article for Hopewell, New Jersey, and to John Hart's article. Please review and see if the changes and the source make sense. Alansohn (talk) 02:54, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- Looks good! Thanks for the updates, Zeete (talk) 11:12, 5 January 2025 (UTC)

How to send you information?
I was looking at the wiki page for Franklin Township Warren County. I have a famous person, Buzzie Reutimann, who stayed in our farm when racing the Northeast. He was one of the top Modified drivers in the northeast. He son David who also lived here during racing season went on to a brief stint in the NASCAR circuit. Buzzie is still racing (he’s 82!) in Florida. You can find them on wiki 2601:89:C501:9620:85E6:BA8:CF94:B32F (talk) 13:51, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for reaching out and I'd be glad to try to help. Yes, Buzzie Reutimann is notable, as is David Reutimann, but neither article mentions New Jersey in any way. What's needed would be reliable and verifiable references from independent sources. Could you point me to newspaper articles or the like that could be used as references? The best thing to do is to post the links here on my talk page. I'll also try to search on my own. Alansohn (talk) 14:33, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- See Part 1 and part 2 of an article from 2009 in The Star-Ledger that placed them in Asbury, New Jersey, part of Franklin Township, Warren County, New Jersey. Am I on the right track (pun intended)? Alansohn (talk) 14:58, 7 January 2025 (UTC)

Sic
You recently edited a number of Misplaced Pages articles, including Midland Park, New Jersey, inserting {{Sic}}
within an external link. {{Sic}}
generates a Wikilink, so the combination generates a Links in links lint error. If sic is really needed, insert it without a template. Please go back and fix the articles you have added Links in links errors to. Cheers! —Anomalocaris (talk) 22:36, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
Update: Bruce1ee already fixed these errors. Please avoid making them in the future. —Anomalocaris (talk) 22:54, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- Anomalocaris, thanks for reaching out. This is what the Sic template is intended for, and the fact that the heading of a report for election results is off by four years is not one that should go unstated. It is and remains unpredictable as to where the Sic template will cause issues, and there was no reason to expect that any issue would arise. Not only did I remove the template from within the heading, but as pointed out, the issues have been corrected. Alansohn (talk) 23:31, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
