I have been participating actively in AfDs on schools. I'd vote to Keep all High Schools, almost without questions. I'd like to see Middle Schools demonstrate some degree of content and work. I think that the school you pointed me to is part of a worthwhile effort, and I will vote to Keep, but I think we need to work on some sort of consensus, so that we can all avoid spending so much time on these votes. Thanks for the heads up, and for all your work on making Misplaced Pages a better place. Down with Deletionism! After all, even Deletionists went to school somewhere (and if not, that probably explains a great deal). ] 14:49, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

== Bally as a city near Kolkata ==
Bally is a famous brand worldwide. So it always gets confusing when Bally is mentioned as a place near Kolkata. But Bally has a rich history and is one of the well known places. There are lot of less known places that get a good coverage. So I thought as a duty I should write on this.
It has also been covered in encyclopaedia Britannica- so it demands a better coverage than just a mention.
Hope it gets its due recognition.

Only one sentence of the Jeremy White article appeared to be taken verbatim from a copyrighted source, so I changed it to summarise the same information. ] 12:35, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).
== Re: Recent Addition to ZIP code info ==
So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the ] on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.
Although none of my additions have been deleted I have a question as to why you would even send me a message saying that such is possible considering all of the information I added was off of the wikipedia website and even from the same section! I have read the link that you sent me about ] and i have found no part in which i would be in violation of. I was just curious why you have found it necessary to send me such a response if there is nothing wrong with my additions, especially considering that all of my additions have simply been a different way to view the SAME information already available from wikipedia. ]
What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.
] | |||
The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small ] data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide ], along with a ], although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the ] page.

:Hello again, this is in response to the question you left on my talk page. The reason I contacted you was to give you a friendly heads-up about the policy in the event you hadn't seen it. Many list articles like these have been deleted at ]. Just because the information is already in Misplaced Pages doesn't necessarily mean that it should be. In fact, thousands of articles are deleted every day. Also, given that the information already exists as you noted, another editor may decide to redirect your articles to the pre-existing ones. Since it appeared to me that you were devoting a lot of time to these articles, I thought it would be a shame to see you continue for days or weeks without knowing there is a risk they could be deleted (or redirected) down the road. I thought you would be discouraged if this were to happen. In any event, please continue to edit as you see fit. Happy editing! Regards, ] 18:28, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

== Template:Caesars Entertainment ==
You mentioned something about a redirect. If this is what I think it is (simply have a similar link go to the same place as another article) I don't think that that would be appropriate in this case because the section I am working on is grouping the ZIP codes in a different way than listed above on that page. Yes some of them are similar but for the most part there is a noticeable difference.
The problem is the casino was effectively folded into another casino. If the name is still used, then it should be in the current list. If the name was retired then it should be were I moved it. In either case, deletion from the template is simply inappropriate. ] (]) 00:48, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

*I will freely admit that these are not the greatest candidates for retention. I had not been involved in their creation, and I only spotted them when changes were made to the County article. I agree that the election criteria under consideration should cover both candidates with adequate sources, and would also cover successful candidates once they are in office. I also agree that a clearer, more objective criteria needs to be developed to cover many areas, and elected officials is one of them. I'm not asking you (or anyone else) to do anything you don't believe in. I sincerely feel that we can make Misplaced Pages a far more useful tool by including articles for New Jersey's 137 members of each ], and that we can do so without making Misplaced Pages an "indiscriminate collection of useless information" as is often used in opposition. I hadn't realised that the article was up for AfD until I saw that a reference to the article was a red link. A few clicks led me to the realization that it had been part of a blanket AfD. While I may be tempting the fates, I think the article as I've written it will withstand scrutiny, as it will discuss the role of the shopping mall in New Jersey, and not be a straight laundry list. Looking for some help on a really small matter. One user, PassionoftheDamon, consistantly changes the "Offensive Scheme" in the info box to "pro style" or "vertical pass" when it is in fact "Pro Set". I have provided links on the user's talk page and on the 2006 Florida State Seminoles football team discussion page verifying the accurateness of the "pro set" change that I keep making, but he refuses to acknowledge it. Even the FSU football media guide, which should be the definitive source of this info, claims that it is "pro set". Please help. ] 12:47, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your warm welcome on my talk page. I was wondering, what's the difference between a talk page and a user page? Also, how do I get a link to the articles I've created on my user page? :Hi Accurizer. Just a couple of notes here. Before that here's another multiple source, well established, that's online from the Town of Hammonton giving her recognition for her World Championship win. It is online at the following link http://livestream.com/Hammonton/events/3326659 as it was live on Television then. It can be seen just under seven minutes into the Town of Hammonton Meeting or you can watch the meeting in it's entirety to show the validity of it from the Town of Hammonton. Under community they have Wineries and Alcohol Consumption. There is one article mentioning the wineries listed. The Theatre listed has one article by the Press of Atlantic City (same person that wrote the article for Gabriella Ricca). Gabriella has many, should she have her own under community. She may be one person but she is part of the Community as you look at Popular Culture there is a single person that's mentioned in it. You're quote " There is now more about Gabriella in the Hammonton article than ] has about ]". Your statement and it should hold true for this as well. Stating facts here and there are no substitutes for them as the guidelines are clear about them. Should these be present on it as many other establishments have had articles and are not shared under Community? This would be biased as one person is singled out. The guidelines are clear as she has multiple articles and I understand there is another one featuring her again. Is that not enough? Again, according to WP:GNG, she has multiple sources to identify her as she had her own page. She has another feature as mentioned. I am looking to help Misplaced Pages maintain its integrity to follow the guidelines properly that's fact based. Gabriella Ricca has multiple sources and your denying her of her own page. She is believed to be in the WP:GNG guidelines by a Misplaced Pages contributor which validates her sources. As with the wineries that have one source and stay standing, her multiple sources don't count for you. I'm very disappointed but stay respectful as one should. If you can shed some information on what I had mentioned that would be much appreciated. I would kindly ask you to have her own page placed back stating the guidelines. As for the Community, like the wineries, many more that have their own place in the community that have articles about them should be inserted, should they not? Thank you ] (]) 21:34, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

As you invited me to "ask any questions" upon my entry to the wiki process, and marking Big Wow Theory for deletion, I thought I'd ask you. What can one do if there is a persistent difference of opinion? Noticing that the articles for Planck scale and Planck epoch were both stubs, I decided to flesh those articles out. I thought the Planck scale entry was especially weak, as it made no mention of its most common usage in Cosmology, as a lower limit to the size or distance scale. It was also my opinion that it's well-accepted or frequently assumed that the universe had its beginning at the Planck scale, and that this should be stated as one of the reasons the Planck scale is assumed to be significant.

Another user, Yevgeny Kats has disputed this repeatedly, and I have attempted to be civil and assume good faith. On some level; I appreciate his attempts to insist on my precise correctness, and to change erroneous or misleading sections where necessary. While I admire his tenacity, and the strength of his knowledge in some areas, he seems biased toward the view that the Planck scale is primarily the purview of particle physicists and string theory, with a decided preference for cosmological scenarios that involve some kind of a pre-bang context.

I have put a long note explaining my stand on his user page, and have assembled a fair number of references which support my view. Brian Greene states that it's believed the universe began as a Planck-sized Nugget quite explicitly in "The Elegant Universe," but after doing a search on arxiv.org for papers containing the term Planck scale I also came up with a number which support my view, along with a few dissenting opinions. I have tried to reflect consensus views in all my wiki editing, but Yevgeny seems to be striving for 'correctness' instead. I've suggested in my note that he should consider writing an article for arxiv.org himself, but I don't know how this will go over. I will wait to make any significant edits until there is a response. I have announced my intent to create a References section, and I will go ahead if I have time, but I'll only correct typos, and leave the content intact for now.

I would invite and request that you visit Planck scale, Planck epoch, and Yevgeny's user page. I am frustrated, at this point, but I don't want to give up on the Wiki, because I feel it needs me as much as I need the arena for sharpening my knowledge and skills. I have suggested to Yevgeny that we start by assuming plausible extensions to the FLRW model (i.e. - inflationary universe theories), and state later in the article that these views may not be true, citing possible exceptions or objections separately from the mainstream view, which should make up the bulk of the article, in my opinion. I know I've made some errors already, but it seems that Yevgeny has introduced a few, as well. Is there a final word on this?

Hey Accurizer
I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).
So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.
The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.
Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 21:09, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

DYK for Camden County Police Department
On 1 August 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Camden County Police Department, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the formation of the Camden County Police Department in New Jersey has been criticized as "union-busting"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Camden County Police Department. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

The problem is the casino was effectively folded into another casino. If the name is still used, then it should be in the current list. If the name was retired then it should be were I moved it. In either case, deletion from the template is simply inappropriate. Vegaswikian (talk) 00:48, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Frank J. Dodd, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Neptune, New Jersey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Black Mariah
The article Black Mariah has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable band, fails WP:BAND
While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JayJay 17:11, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

Mary Baker Eddy
Hi, I really appreciate your courtesy in consulting me on whether she was a hypochondriac. The latest major biography of her by Gillian Gill, makes it quite clear (page 42) that all three Baker girls suffered from severe illnesses throughout their childhood and young adulthood, which required intervention by physicians.
The accounts that episodes of Mary's "hysteria" reported by Milmine corresponded to these illnesses are also discredited (page 41).
In the interests of accuracy, I would like my edit to stand. Bblandford (talk) 23:44, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Gabriella Ricca
Under Notable People in Hammonton, New Jersey you removed Gabriella Ricca by stating “Gabriella Ricca, does not appear to satisfy Misplaced Pages:Notability_(sports)#Gymnastics, page redirected” I took the honor of the World Champion, as she was recognized by the town of Hammonton, and added her under Events. As she was recognized and notable by the town of Hammonton, she would be considered mentioned under Community. If it’s another category under Community, then please add her to the right one. Her page was removed. Why was this page removed? She is noted from many sources of the media and her page should be recovered since it’s not under Misplaced Pages:Notability. Please reply. Respectfully thank you. Georgivac (talk)
Hi Accurizer, I haven’t had a reply from you so I did notice as you stated Gabriella Ricca does not meet Misplaced Pages’s WP:NGYMNASTICS, However she does meet Misplaced Pages’s WP:GNG as some following links with a few multiple articles of in depth coverage to satisfy for her page to be brought back. She is eligible through WP:GNG. The articles mentioned are not press releases. The articles are verifiable as they are published works from the media and other sources that’s required.
There is one article released through many of USA Today’s papers throughout the USA (Nationally) at that time, as they can now be found on their online website under Gymnastics. She was featured in the sports section for it. Her photo’s are provided in the article. There are many more that I don’t need to keep providing. This is probably used as one (1) verifiable article/source.

The list goes on throughout the USA for this article. All valid and verifiable as it shows
The following from the pressofatlanticcity.com would be the Second (2nd) verifiable article/source.
The pressofatlanticcity.com features her in their article under Everyone Has a Story: Ex-wrestler dad helped young gymnast grapple with fear http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/blogs/michelle_post/everyone-has-a-story-ex-wrestler-dad-helped-young-gymnast/article_188e0bb2-0afb-11e4-b3dd-0019bb2963f4.html
Some of the above links are already provided on Tony Ricca’s

The Hammonton News featured her in their paper but it’s not online. A copy can be provided if necessary. This would be another verifiable Article/Source.
There’s an online article on The Pharaoh (Tony Ricca), Gabriella Ricca’s father which mentions her accomplishments in that article. If you need this please ask.
The following link is from a website called america.pink. http://america.pink/gabriella-ricca_1653713.html
The following website is a live scoring system that documents athletic events. Here’s where she can be found for her World Championship Scores. This is very valid as it is a scoring system for athletes and should be considered at least a Fourth (4th) verifiable source. http://www.meetscoresonline.com/2014-FL-USAIGC-IAIGC-World-Championships - Click Meet Results and scroll down to Session: 3 Level: CO Division: 12 yrs Click PDF - She’s also in the Top Scores Bracket.
Please advise as to adding back the page Gabriella Ricca. Two of what I provided is considered multiple sources (that’s debatable if you don’t consider that). So I’ve produced more to show more sources that constitutes a multiple amount of them. She should now meet the requirements through WP:GNG from the above mentioned provided.
I took my time to provide the necessary information that would be needed to show the validation of her through WP:GNG. I look forward to your consideration for the above to place her back on her own page. Please reply with any additional information that may be needed or please point me to talk with a higher editor regarding this. It would be much appreciated. I was told that this was enough to put her back up. Thank you very much Georgivac (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:10, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Accurizer. You're quote " There is now more about Gabriella in the Hammonton article than San Mateo, California has about Tom Brady". Thank you Georgivac (talk) 21:34, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Proper categorization
It is consensus that for a Person to be from Foo has to either been born or lived in Foo. Things that don't qualify someone from being from Foo
- - Place of death unless that was their home at the time.
- - Where they are buried. Is JFK from Arlington Virginia just because he is buried there?
- - Graduates from a school located in Foo.
- - Playing for a sports team located in Foo.
None of these qualify a person as being from Foo. Therefore sports team players and people buried in XYZ cemetery categories are not categorized 'People from Foo'. Look at Category:Sportspeople by city in the United States do you see other cities with their sports team categories as subcategories of Sportspeople from Foo?...William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 11:09, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- @WilliamJE: Can you point to a discussion that established this consensus? Thanks, Accurizer (talk) 12:07, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
