Sorry for not responding earlier (re: ) - I'm glad you placed a discussion on each of the talk pages but the wording makes it seem as if you're suggesting it when in fact you already changed it. Still, the replacement maps are mostly as good if not better. The only one one where it really didn't improve the article was at ] (this was reverted by Bermicourt), since the new map didn't contain any mention of Elbe Germanic and the original map was integral to the article. Since most of them are not contested I'd say it worked out. ] (]) 13:47, 24 November 2017 (UTC)

== RE: Content related to topics on Poland ==

Hi. I appreciate your interest in Polish related topics, through I don't recall you've ever participated in ]. Do stop by some time. Anyway, I see you've been on en wiki since 2014. I've been here a bit longer. I'll just say that if you are becoming involved in Poland-related controversies, and you tell me that in my edits I am "overly focusing on the BAD and the UGLY about topics related to Poland", well. A lot of people would get a very good laugh about. Nie ucz ojca dzieci robic, kolego. Anyway, you are correct that some people had or have strong biases, including anti-Polish. But you have entered a minefield (did I just see a DS warning above?). Tread lightly, including what you write to whom. Assume good faith, be polite, but also realize that notability applies to things that can hurt one's national pride, too. Ps. If you want to talk more about this stuff, activate your email. --]|] 04:25, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
:], I can appreciate your input to the Poland related articles. As for the deletion request, I just noticed a Neutrality dispute tag on the new Polish collaboration page, and I'm not sure how this thing will get resolved, as we now have this controversy across two pages. --] (]) 09:05, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
::We need to cut down (shorten) content about Polish collaboration that exists elsewhere, which will hopefully reduce problems on those other pages. As for how the issues around the new dedicated page will get resolved, and when - shrug. Sometimes it takes years. We will discuss, we will compromise, and hopefully things will stabilize before some people get themselves blocked or banned. --]|] 09:46, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

== Matejko ==

It's obvious that at least one Matejko painting needs to be added to balance up the images. It is an accurate representation as Matejko used historical sources and descriptions whereas the previous image was just bleak and boring and barely visible. Is the image of Casimir III from the Middle Ages? No. So it doesn't matter. If his representation is good enough then let it stay. Secondly we can have both Wajda and Polański in the cinema section. Also, something needs to be done with Sobieski's painting so it's not breaking the sections. Would you also consider adding ] to language section? Also how is Napoleon less important than some Narcyza Żmichowska? Why is she still there overflowing the law section? Oliszydlowski, 09:44, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
:], again I'd like to suggest that any changes made to the article at this point are incremental and discussed on talk page, to avoid radical changes... this approach is maintained by editors on other high profile pages such as ], etc. This Poland article is not the mess it was sometime back, and we both along with other editors made it much better (though not perfect, but no Misplaced Pages article is ever that). Also, pls consider that many of the images on the page were added by you, and if you keep reverting other folks choices well have a page that's entirely filled with your selections. --] (]) 10:20, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:32, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
