20th Television was formed in 1989 by Fox, Inc. In 1992, Greg Meidel became 20th Television's president serving until 1995, a year later in 1996, Meidel joined the ] where he oversaw the successes of ], ], ], ], ] among other shows after ] and its owner ] acquired ] from ]. As part of the restructuring that stemmed from News Corporation spinning off its entertainment assets into ], it was announced on July 8, 2013, that 20th Television will operate under the management of 20th Century Fox Television moving from under Fox Television Stations.
