A cookie for you!

Great job working on the complex analysis articles. Don't mind the welcome template above, I noticed you hadn't gotten one yet, so I figured I would spam your page with it. There are some helpful links there, though! Footlessmouse (talk) 08:27, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
Thank you so much! It was very helpful because I had a hard time finding the source template.--SilverMatsu (talk) 09:29, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Hartogs's theorem

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Hartogs's theorem requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Oka–Weil theorem

Please note my edits to Oka–Weil theorem. In particular:

  • I changed the title from Oka-Weil theorem (with a hyphen) to Oka–Weil theorem (with an en-dash). That is standard usage under WP:MOS.
  • In several other places, including ranges of page numbers, I changed a hyphen to an en-dasy, as prescribed by WP:MOS.
  • I set the title phrase in bold at its first appearance, as prescribed by WP:MOS.

My question is probably related to Misplaced Pages:Consensus and Misplaced Pages:Closing discussions. --SilverMatsu (talk) 21:31, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
I'm continuing the discussion, even though the discussion has already reached the consensus of movement, or the consensus that there is no consensus, in this case on the discussion page, I think it would be snowball to say that.--SilverMatsu (talk) 00:14, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
To summarize what I'd like to ask, I'd like to see if it's okay to conclude that the move has been approved by the community, and if I need to close the discussion, if so, please tell me the closing procedure.--SilverMatsu (talk) 09:38, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
You should ask all the editors who discussed it if there was any consensus.

Starting a move discussion

Hi, move discussions are usually held on the talk page of the article being moved, so just go to Talk:F(x) (group) and add the code {{subst:requested move|f(x)|reason=}}, filling in the "reason" parameter with the reason for the move (further explanation can be found at WP:RM#Requesting a single page move, and some pointers regarding discussing which is the primary topic can be found at WP:PRIMARYTOPIC). – Thjarkur (talk) 10:31, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Regarding notifying Wikiprojects and others interested: Usually you'd just start a requested move discussion at Talk:F(x) (group) and then leave a note about it on Talk:Function (mathematics) and perhaps (if the move is very important) on the WikiProject talk page. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:43, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
