The Jedi Exile is the main character in the PC/Xbox videogame title Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. The Exile is a fully customizable character at the start of the game, and can be male or female, and the player can choose what side of the Force their character walks.

The Exile was a General under Revan during the Mandalorian Wars, and the only one to return to Coruscant to face trial by the Jedi Council.

The punishment for joining Revan and Malak in the Mandalorian war was for him to be exiled, stripped of his powers. The full details of his exile are unknown, but he returned to the galaxy at large while dying aboard the Ebon Hawk. With the help of the utility droid , the Exile was nursed back to health at the mining facilities of Peragus II.

There he met with an old woman named Kreia, a mysterious (and also exiled) Jedi Master who guides the Exile through his journey to find the missing Jedi Masters who sentenced him to exile. As their journey progresses Kreia helps the Exile regain his knowledge of the Force in order to defeat the two menacing Sith Lords whom he will inevitably face, Darth Nihilus and Darth Sion. Both Sith are the former apprentices of Darth Traya, the true identity of Kreia.

Dark side Ending

Once the Exile had found and slain all of the missing Jedi Masters, He, along with Mandalore, and Nihilus's former apprentice Visas Marr, boarded Nihilus's flag ship, the Ravager, killed the vicious Sith Lord and blew up his ship with devastating Proton Torpedoes set in all the four corners of the ship. He then returned to Malachor V, the location of the final Mandalorian battle, and found the Trayus Academy, home of the reunited Darth Traya (Kreia) and Darth Sion.

There he slew both Sith Lords, and after Kreia reveals where Revan went, starts his search for the Dark Lord.

Light side Ending

After locating and conversing with all of the remaining Jedi Masters, the Exile returns to Dantooine to find the rebuilt Jedi Training Acedemy. There the Jedi had formed a council in which they would decide his fate. Right before the Jedi reestablish his Exile and strip him of the Force, Kreia storms into the meeting to save him at the last moment. He then leaves for Malachor V to battle Darth Sion and Darth Traya. After Sion is dead, He faces Kreia who has revealed her true identity. Kreia and the Exile do battle, and before Kreia is struck down, she tells the Exile information which will send him on a search for Darth Revan in the Unknown Regions.

(Note: The Light Side ending is the canonical one).
