THE DODGERS WON! 4 GAME SWEEP OF THE ANGELS |
Revision as of 22:44, 1 March 2007
Template:Future sport Template:WorldSeriesRt The 2007 World Series, the 103rd edition of Major League Baseball's championship series, is scheduled to begin play on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 and will take place between the winners of the 2007 American League Championship Series and the winners of the 2007 National League Championship Series in Major League Baseball. The seventh game, if necessary, will be played on Halloween night, Wednesday, October 31. The locations and venues will be determined by the winners of those respective series. As per the 2006 Collective Bargaining Agreement signed on October 24, the league that wins the 2007 All-Star Game in San Francisco shall control home field advantage in next year's Fall Classic. It will be televised by FOX—the first World Series to commence on a Tuesday since the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Oakland A's by a score of 7-0 at Riverfront Stadium on October 16, 1990.
