Deb Fischer (b. 1951) is a Nebraska state senator from Valentine, Nebraska in the Nebraska Legislature and a rancher.

Personal life

She was born on March 1, 1951, in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1988 with a B.S. in education. She is a member of many Cattlemen organizations and many other agricultural organizations.

State Legislature

She was elected in 2004 to represent the 43rd Nebraska legislative district. She currently sits on the Agriculture, Government, Military and Veterans Affairs committees, is the vice chairperson of the General Affairs committee and sits on the Education Commission of the States and the Midwestern Higher Education Compact Commission.
