- @Serial Number 54129: Don't worry about it. You're right that I haven't been a regular on the unblock-review circuit in recent years. I volunteered to handle this one partly because a lot of the admins who do unblock reviews more regularly have commented on the XRV and, while I don't think that would constitute "involvement," they might not feel comfortable as the reviewing admin. - @Serial Number 54129: As I said I would, I took a few minutes today to go through the pending unblock requests. To my pleasant surprise, almost all of them were/are already in the process of being reviewed by another administrator. Clean start vis a vis your recent unblock
Coming off of the long administrative action review discussion, I'm wondering whether the option of a WP:CLEANSTART should be included in your unblock statement. This editor, apparently without intending to, has caused quite a kerfuffle and some editors got very heated in response. The way I see it: either this editor really is new in which case this instance falls squarely under recognizing past mistakes and avoiding harassment
, or they really are a sock, in which case they're going to create a new account anyway so there's probably not a WP:BEANS issue. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 17:15, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
