No personal attacks
Please see Misplaced Pages's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. -- Karl Meier 15:57, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
LaRouche edits
Please read WP:ATT and WP:BLP. No self-published third-party sources are allowed as support for biographical material about living persons, and editors who revert such material are not subject to the 3RR rule. If you continue to insert it, you'll be in violation of BLP, a policy that is taken extremely seriously, for obvious reasons. Cheers, SlimVirgin 15:17, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- You used a self-published website as a secondary source, I believe, and an affidavit as a primary source. Others used a LaRouche publication. None of these are reliable sources within the meaning of WP:ATT and WP:BLP. For contentious claims about living persons, you must use the best possible sources, which in this case would mean a mainstream news organization or other publisher. SlimVirgin 15:22, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not about other living persons. Please don't edit further without reading our content policies. SlimVirgin 15:35, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
BLP warning
You have made an edit that could be regarded as defamatory. Please do not restore this material to the article or its talk page. If you do, you may be blocked for disruption. See the blocking policy. SlimVirgin 15:46, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Three-revert rule
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. Tom Harrison 22:05, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
User notice: temporary 3RR block
Regarding reversions made on March 9 2007 to Political views of Lyndon LaRouche
You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future. The duration of the block is 24 hours. William M. Connolley 23:59, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Final warning
If you cause any more disruption, attempt to add material favorable to LaRouche using poor sources, or remove material critical of him that is properly sourced, this account may be blocked indefinitely. Tonight, you reverted an attempt to archive the LaRouche talk page and restored posts going back over two years to January 2005. This is disruption for the sake of it, and I've had enough. Please start editing within our content and behavioral policies and stop wasting people's time with constant reverting and pointless questions on talk pages. SlimVirgin 06:50, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
your AN/I agaisnt SlimVirgin
I 'refactored' your commentsthere, to the proper place, atthe end. You shoehorned your reply in between JD's reply to Slim's comment, instead of putting it in the end, making it look like JD had replied to you at a glance. Try and keep the conversations moving in a proper time frame, thanks. ThuranX 22:52, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- I completely agree with you regarding your issue with SV at AN/I. SV has a history of archiving her talk page to hide conversations that obviously are not going her way. I, myself, had a run-in with her recently and instead of her responding to me like an adult, she archived my words as well. Her "warning" to you was inappropriate and childish. She is in no position to make threats like she did to you. MetsFan76 23:17, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- People have been making comments about SV for quite some time now. Unfortunately, nothing ever comes of it. The way I look at it is that, eventually, she is going to do something that other people won't be able to ignore and then she is going to have to answer for it. I'm just going to sit back and watch for now but I have plenty of support from other editors as well as an arsenal of diffs that clearly illustrate her abusive behavior. For now, I would say to just give it time. But if you like, I could write some thing on AN/I regarding it, but I know what the result would be. MetsFan76 23:28, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have posted this MetsFan76 23:59, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- I hope I helped somewhat on the AN/I regarding SV. MetsFan76 17:06, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- Glad to have helped even though nothing really came of it. Will Beback I do not know very well, but Slim, yes, does get away with way too much on here. The quote you wrote on my talk page is definitely an appropriate one. MetsFan76 23:50, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
TakeOver and Free for All.
I seen that you added the newspapers to the madison, WI page. I was wondering if you would happen to know if there is a place in madison that one can still find old copies of these newspapers?Xylon.doulas 15:21, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Violation of BLP policy
You recently added a sentence to the article about John Seigenthaler, Sr. stating that it had been alleged that he was involved in a "racially-motivated" sting operation. The reference you cited for this says nothing about it being "racially-motivated" or even that there were allegations of such. To imply that Seigenthaler, who was a pivotal figure in the U.S. Civil Rights Movement, was actually a racist is not only completely rediculous, but offensive and defamatory as well. Misplaced Pages's Biographies of Living Persons policy is very clear about prohibiting such additions unless they are solidly backed up by reliable sources. Also, your addition seems to be a violation of the Neutral Point of View Policy as it only presents the most negative possible interpretation of the story (which is sourced from a right-wing news blog to start with). Seeing that you have been warned about BLP violation already, any further violation of this policy will result in immediate blocking of your editing priviledges. Kaldari 15:23, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
