| :That's just not so! Ayn opposed the stupid idea that we have any obligation to give to charity and explained how giving people hand-outs only undermines their self-determination. You're right only in that she did not want to allow the government to prevent private charity, because that would give the government too much power, but was quite clear on such charity being immoral.
