In Welsh mythology, Morda was a blind old man that the witch Ceridwen hired to tend to the fire underneath her cauldron.

Morda is also a Belgian metal/hardcore band.

Morda is a village on the outskirts of the town of Oswestry, located on the border of England and Wales, however it is best known in the local area for its hugely successfull football team. Morda United FC were founded in 1951 and play their home games at Western lane with a capacity of aprroximately 50, although ledgend does have it that it once took over 300 for a county cup encounter between Morda and local rivals Heath Farm Rangers. They play their football in the Midlands alliance league and have sparcly moved from the division since they were founded in 1951.
