			Deputies didn't know that Susan left the gas station with a man until they spoke to the same gas station clerk the next day.Later,a ] told Susan's mother that the ] on the ] had been loosened somehow and the car had no water in it,so it was likely that why the car was overheating at the time Susan disappeared.

Susan Swedell went missing on January 19,1988 in lake Elmo,Washington country, Minnesota.She was 19 went she went missing there remains a $25,000 reward in the case. In the run up to her disappearance, Susan had raked up an expensive phone bill by using chat lines to talk to boys. Those who worked at Kmart told police that she frequently received calls from somebody called “Dale” although nobody that knew Susan could identify him. Her colleagues also told police that Susan had planned on meeting up with an ex-boyfriend on the night of her disappearance but he had called to cancel due to the bad weather

Theory

The main theory is that somebody tampered with Susan's car and then followed her, waiting for it to break down so that they could offer her a ride
