:I'm very, very sure they are a sock of ''someone''. I suspect some sort of LTA, though, rather than Alpoin117. I'd be surprised if Alpoin117 had kept up to date enough to know about the admin recall process. --] (]) 00:01, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

Possible new DylanPuma20 sock

Noticed a possible sock of DylanPuma20 today, however their edits while close is not quite the same, and I'm uncertain if I should file an SPA. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 23:40, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

I'm not sure that's quite enough. Looking at the editor interaction analyser, there's some overlap but not enough, either. If you see more overlap with earlier socks, I'd say that's enough to file. Especially when combined with the specific timeline of the prior block and the new account creation here. --Yamla (talk) 23:47, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Yea, that's what I was thinking. I'll just keep an eye on them. This person is slowly learning to mask their edit's but tends to fall back into a clear pattern. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 23:52, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

Dubai Scripter

I don't think it matters much if they're a paid editor. They've got just over 50 edits and pretty much all of them are either direct personal attacks, in contravention of arbitration sanctions regarding the Israel / Palestine conflict or both. I don't think they'll be around for long. Simonm223 (talk) 13:38, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

Also a non-trivial number of deleted edits of a clearly promotional nature. --Yamla (talk) 13:50, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

UTRS appeal #97655

Would you like to tackle this one? You might want to check on the assertions of off Wiki co-ordianation by others, -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 15:53, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

I'll grab it and take a look later this afternoon. --Yamla (talk) 18:37, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
The CU evidence is strikingly clear. Let's see how she responds. I tried hard not to make anything a trick question. --Yamla (talk) 22:51, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

Continued issues from KindHorta

Hi Yamla,

Sorry to bother you with this, but wanted to lyk @KindHorta has been hounding me (in addition to leaving transphobic forumy comments and pledging to edit a page in a WP:PROFRINGE way). I left him a message on his talk page pinging you, which he characteristically blanked, so I'm letting you know here with a link to the pre-blanked copy of the page and discussion there. I'd report at ANI or something, but given the IPs/sockpuppeting considerations which you're already aware of, I thought this made more sense. There's been years of homophobic/transphobic/downright weird problematic editing by this guy, think it's a straightforward WP:NOTHERE.

I'm not the right admin to tackle that, it would be better if another admin took action. That way, it's clear that it's more of a community thing rather than just a single admin targeting that user. --Yamla (talk) 00:36, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

Sock?

Hello, Yamla,

After the new editor attempted to recall me, I looked at the date they mentioned (Oct. 8, 2023) and I did soft redirects from 3 alternative user pages for User:Alpoin117 after that user page was deleted. That is what we do when editors delete their User page and so a User page from Meta shows up in its place. But it doesn't look like this editor has been socking recently and I don't know why they would hold this grudge for other a year when my actions had nothing to do with them being blocked. Thanks for dealing with this. Liz 23:54, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
