Not knowing what he just said, Ed showed Burgundy what he had said, they both figured out Veronica actually put it on the monitor. This incident has cost Burgundy his job and his loyalty to the citizens of San Diego. Veronica then took over as the leading of the team. | |||
When a mother panda is about to give birth, a rival anchorman purposely pushed Veronica over into a bears den. Cannot find Veronica, Ed called a bar where Ron was at, trying to find an anchorman. Ron answered it and decides to do it. When calling his news team, whom practically standing next to him the whole time, he convinces them to go to the zoo to deliver the news. | |||
When getting to the zoo, Ron tries to save Veronica, not realizing the bears were bigger from where he was. After Baxter comes back after being kicked off the bridge, he saves Ron and Veronica after telling one of the bears that he became a friend to its cousin. When Burgundy was climbing out of the den, Mantooth tempts to pushes him off the ladder. However, he did not saying that he respects him as a newsanchor. | |||

Ron Burgundy is a fictional anchorman portrayed by Will Ferrell in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Wake up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie.
Biography
Ron Burgundy is an Emmy (local) Award-winning anchorman in San Diego, California for KVWN and leader of the KVWN Channel Four News Team, whom are number one locally in San Diego. Despite being popular around the city, Burgundy is ignorant, egostistic, and not very intelligent. While not doing the news, he would also be womanizing with bimbo-type women.
Burgundy has a bitter rival with Wes Mantooth (Vince Vaughn), leader of the KQHS Channel Nine Evening News Team, who has been in second place behind Burgundy and the KVWN Channel Four News.
When his boss, Ed, brought in Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), who believes they needs more diversity on the team and a woman whom Burgundy met the night before at a party, Burgundy soon finds himself in love with her, despite the fact that his team, with the exception of Brick, are mad that Ed let a woman to be part of the news team.
