William Robert Colvin Middleton (1863 – 8 December 1921) served as the Municipal Health Officer in Singapore from 1894 (1893?) to 1920.

Early life and education

Middleton was born in Bombay, India in 1863. He was the eldest son of Revered William Middleton, a government chaplain in Kurachee. He was then brought to Aberdeen, Scotland, where he was raised. He studied at the Aberdeen Grammar School and later at the University of Aberdeen, from which he graduated with a Master of Arts in 1883 and as a Bachelor of Medicine in 1888.

Career

Personal life and death

Middleton married Ethel Hunt on 29 April 1909 at the St Andrew's Cathedral.

He died on Dorset Road in Bexhill-on-Sea on 8 December 1921.
