In December 2024, reports emerged suggesting that the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) was attempting to re-establish its presence in Kerala through a fitness program called Multi-Exercise Combination 7 (MEC 7). Initiated in 2012 by P. Salahudeen, a former Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer, MEC 7 combines various exercises, including yoga and meditation, into a 21-minute routine. The program has gained popularity, especially in the Malabar region, with over 1,000 units operating across the state. |
Concerns have been raised by political figures and organizations regarding MEC 7's alleged connections to PFI and other radical groups. CPI(M) Kozhikode district secretary P. Mohanan initially criticized MEC 7, alleging infiltration by communal forces, but later retracted his statement, clarifying that the party is not against the workout plan itself. |
Similarly, Sunni leaders have expressed apprehensions about the program's objectives, comparing it to earlier initiatives by the National Development Front (NDF). |
Despite these allegations, MEC 7 organizers assert that the program is an inclusive health initiative open to individuals of all backgrounds, aiming solely at promoting health and fitness. They emphasize the involvement of retired military, police, and judicial personnel in the program. |
Notably, Congress MP V. K. Sreekandan has defended MEC 7, describing it as a beneficial fitness program that transcends caste, religious, or political biases. |
In light of the controversy, central intelligence agencies have reportedly initiated investigations into MEC 7 to assess the veracity of the alleged extremist links. |

] and ] both confirmed that PFI was formed to establish Islamic rule in India by 2047. It was banned on that basis and not the other way. <ref>https://www.newindianexpress.com/states/kerala/2024/Jun/26/pfi-wanted-to-establish-islamic-rule-in-india-by-2047-nia-3</ref><ref>https://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/mumbai/suspected-pfi-members-conspired-to-transform-india-into-islamic-country-bombay-hc-while-denying-bail/article68280079.ece</ref><ref>https://www.thestatesman.com/india/popular-front-of-india-forms-service-teams-killer-squads-to-establish-islamic-rule-by-2047-nia-charge-sheet-1503148595.html</ref> ] (]) 23:33, 1 January 2025 (UTC) |

Pfi was not formed to counter Hindus but to oppose Hindus and establish Islamist supremacy and to subdue others . It's written in their own charter that they want to make india and Islamic state by 2047 Abraca21 (talk) 08:54, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
In the Criticism and accusations section, under the heading/subsection, "Creation of an Islamic State in India", please add this: The PFI wanted to establish Islamic rule in India by 2047 as per the NIA. QueSera1 (talk) 16:19, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
In the Criticism and accusations section, under the heading/subsection, "Links to terrorist organizations", please change this sentence, "In November 2019, the Central Government provided Z category security to Justice S. Abdul Nazeer, one of the judges of the Supreme Court of India and part of the bench which passed the Ayodhya verdict" to, "In November 2019, the Central Government provided Z category security to Justice S. Abdul Nazeer, one of the judges of the Supreme Court of India and part of the bench which passed the Ayodhya verdict, due to threats by the PFI". QueSera1 (talk) 16:26, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
