The '''R68''' subway car is a joint venture of ], ], and other companies. With a contract to deliver 425 R-68 cars, R68 was built in France and shipped to New York Harbor. It is the first of two contracts of R68. R68 was built in combined by ] and ] features to built in a better state of the art subway car with high MDBF (Mean Distance Between Failure), perfoming better service.
