Selena Gomez (born 22 July 1992) is an American child actress who was born in New York City, New York. She is half Mexican and half Caucasian
Her first role was in past episodes of Barney & Friends as Gianna. Selena has filmed a pilot as the leading character Stevie in Stevie Sanchez, a spin off of Lizzie McGuire which was not picked up. She has also made a guest appearance on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as Gwen. It has also been confirmed that Selena will be appearing in an episode of Hannah Montana for the second season as Mikayla, a pop star who is a rival of Miley. She will be starring as one of the leads in the Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place.
