John Lenders is the Treasurer in Victoria, Australia. He was appointed to this position in August 2007 following the appointment of new premier John Brunmy.

Previously he has been the Victorian Education Minister. Prior to this he was the Minister for Finance, Major Projects, Workcover and the TAC in Victoria (Australia). His appointment as Minister for Education is considered to be a further promotion.

He is also the leader of the Government in the Legislative Council. He is currently one of the five members elected to represent the Southern Metropolitan Region.
